AREA MANAGER

Grand Gaming Western Cape (RF) (Pty) Ltd would like to recruit a Cape Town based Area Manager in their Commercial
Department. The ideal candidate would be a self-driven and focused individual, with at least 3 years proven sales
experience in either the FMCG / liquor / on-consumption industry or similar working environment. This position
reports to the Commercial & Licencing Manager, Grand Gaming Western Cape.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Site and LPM roll-out by:
    − Coordinating and ensuring that sites are commissioned as per standards, policies and procedures.
    − Facilitating the correct positioning of LPM’s, choice of games and denominations, in conjunction with the
    Technical department.
    − Managing the nomination requirements, registration and training bookings for all key and gaming
    employees.
    − Supervising and managing the site start-up and cash-up process.
  • Business Development by:
    − Building relationships with premises owners / employees, customers, WCGRB and local government.
    Visiting and managing all new business according to set standards and agreements.
  • Management of licensed sites through:
    − Maintaining relationships with site owners.
    − Facilitating with the site installations.
    − Managing the nomination requirements as well as arrange training for all key and gambling site employees.
    − Supervising and managing the site start-up and cash-up process ensure site compliance according to WCGRB
    rules and standards
  • Management and implementation of revenue generation strategies through:
    − The management and maintenance of allocated sites.
    − Continual site visits covering GGR maximisation and statistics, business development and site requirements.
    − The co-ordination of site promotions.
  • Site compliance
    − Ensure that compliance related issues are adhered to.
  • Management of strategic relationships through:
  • Building relationships with site owners, customers, WCGRB & local government.

Monthly Reporting and Administrative Tasks

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Grade 12 + relevant tertiary qualification
  • Extensive experience in analysing market trends and strong ability to interpret and convey/communicate
    financial statistics.
  • A valid code 8 driver’s licence.
  • Proficiency in Afrikaans will be an advantage.
  • Excellent report writing skills and proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • Solid understanding of basic financial / accounting practices.
  • English and an additional local language would be advantageous.

SENIOR TECHNICIAN

Grand Gaming Western Cape (RF) (Pty) Ltd would like to recruit a Cape Town-based Senior Technician in their Technical
Department. The ideal candidate would be a self-driven and focused individual with at least 3 years ofsupervisory and
technical experience in slots repair and maintenance. This position reports to the Technical Manager, Grand Gaming
Western Cape.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Oversee the maintenance of the Route Monitoring System
  • Ensure the control of the budgets by avoiding comeback work and efficient repair
  • Ensure that all registers remain up to date as per ICS and WCGB legislation
  • Complete monthly reports and audits on handovers and numbered stationery
  • Adherence to all Policies and Procedures
  • Oversee repair and all maintenance of LPMs
  • Ensure that all administrative functions are completed accurately and timeously
  • Supervise, train, and assess the Field Technicians
  • Manage the Asset system and audit weekly
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external parties, including site operators
  • Electronic In-house repairs of gaming equipment up to component level.
  • Oversee and assist with new site installations and conversions.

UALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
▪ Grade 12 + relevant tertiary qualification (N6 Electronics or Electrical)
▪ A valid Code 08 driver’s licence is an inherent requirement of the job
▪ Display effective leadership skills and experience in supervising a Team.
▪ 3 – 4 years’ experience in electronic repairs up to component level
▪ 1 – 2 years’ supervisor experience (advantageous)
▪ Ability to maintain good quality standards and service levels
▪ Experience in stock control
▪ English, with a regional language, would be advantageous
▪ The ability:
