Incentives, Regimes & Planning Opportunities

  • Identify, evaluate, and advise on tax incentives, exemptions, concessions, and special tax regimes applicable to new markets or investments.
  • Support applications, structuring, and ongoing compliance considerations relating to incentives and preferential regimes.
  • Balance tax efficiency with reputational, operational, and governance considerations.

Risk Identification & Technical Advisory

  • Identify emerging tax risks associated with new products, markets, or ways of operating.
  • Provide technical input on complex interpretative issues escalated by the business or other tax team members (excluding advocacy and disputes).
  • Support the Tax Director with impact assessments and recommendations on complex tax matters.

Governance & Alignment

  • Ensure advisory outcomes are aligned with group tax policies, risk appetite, and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with other tax team portfolios (Compliance, Audit & Controversy, Policy where applicable) to ensure consistent implementation of agreed positions.
  • Contribute to the development of internal tax guidance and advisory templates to improve efficiency and consistency.

This list covers your core responsibilities – with plenty of room to stretch, explore and take on new challenges as we grow.
