Job description
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Ensure that sales in Beauty are in line with agreed targets by providing solutions and alternatives to customers on options, products, and services.
- Monitor, control and display stock and related ticketing with relevant reports to ensure availability and maximum selling opportunities.
- Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and policy understanding to enable high service and operational standards.
- Uphold shop-keeping standards in terms of hygiene and safety to ensure a neatly organised department.
- Process till transactions efficiently and effectively
- Execute all shrinkage related tasks to contribute to minimum losses.
- Maintain high standards of self-discipline in relation to dress code, personal hygiene, timekeeping and attendance.
- Participate and contribute in all team related tasks and activities
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level
- Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
- Available and flexible to work different shifts.
Relevant experience in a Beauty selling environment advantageous

Introduction
To play a leading role in the Woolworths WCellar (Wine, Spirits, Beer) team by taking commercial ownership of the Beer sub-category. To manage all commercial considerations and supplier relationships within the Beer category. To deliver against the objective of achieving long term sustainable profit growth through the delivery of the Category and Food Strategies. To execute the strategy with class leading commercial excellence that drives market share growth.
Job description
- To take commercial ownership of the Beer sub-category within the wider WCellar (Wine, Spirits and Beer) category.
- To build the commercial and supplier strategy in support of the Woolworths WCellar business
- Establish a commercially viable product range strategy and manage the implementation thereof, including the facilitation of supply chain, ranging and display
- Develop good working relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders.
- Review internal Woolworths performance data (sales, profit, market share, market size etc.) for the department and generate insight that informs strategy.
- Identify and prioritise the key commercial strategies and accompanying quantifiable goals and KPI’s for the department in line with category operating plan.
- Ensure internal and external colleagues understand and work to deliver the department category plan.
- Review department performance versus Department Scorecards on a regular basis and inform key stakeholders.
- Manage financial accountabilities (margins, incentives, trading agreements, departmental charges, sample accounts, expiring stock, etc) to delivery of the monthly and financial year GP commitment.
- Negotiate price, promotional price and new lines, taking into account price tiering / product positioning and financial targets.
- Integrate with Sales Management to draw up and implement Promotional Calendar. Plan and implement promotional strategies and ensure supplier delivery
- Establish category price position while applying an understanding of customer price perception, impacts on KVIs, and of competitor pricing
- Availability: Manage short and long term availability per category and per supplier
- Ensure the department is on track to meet its transformational commitments.
Minimum requirements
- Relevant commercial degree / diploma
- Team player understanding the power of diversity.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the beer and/or liquor industry
- Proven experience in managing a Foods/FMCG department.
- Proven sourcing and supplier or account management experience
- Proven ability to provide tactical input and deliver a category operating plan.
- Strong integrator and the ability to work in a Matrix structure.
- Strong negotiation and financial management skills.
- Proven ability to deliver commercial category KPIs (i.e. market share, sales growth, margin, ROS, availability)
- Understanding of Supply Chain processes and principles an understanding of the laws and regulations governing the liquor industry
Systems Analyst
Introduction
Understand and translate business requirements into quality system solutions and ensure optimal system performance and stability through support and continuous improvement of Woolies Foods Applications.
Job description
- Analyse current systems solutions and business requirements
o Interpret and provide input to translate complex business requirements into business requirement definitions and specifications
o Analyse and evaluate required system enhancements
o Analyse existing systems and interfaces for modification / improvement purposes
- Design new or enhanced systems to accommodate business needs
o Participate in the process design or re-design and translate business / user requirements / processes into a system design
o Design system enhancements
o Change systems specifications based on testing problems / changing requirements
o Design interfaces with other systems
o Provide input to deployment plans based on designs
- Testing of proposed solutions
o Develop system test plans for system and integration testing
o Perform systems testing and integration testing, and feedback results
- Participate in the implementation of new solutions to ensure successful integration into current environment

· 3 years of Retail Knowledge
· 3 Years Experience in Oracle Applications, Blue Yonder Applications, and ECS Applications.
· Exposure to cloud solutions
· Oracle, Azure, AWS, and GCP skill/knowledge
· SDLC and Agile Methodology experience
· Project management methodology
· General understanding of internet technologies
· Experience in relational database design
ADDITIONAL CRITERIA
- Retail experience advantageous
- Understanding of database and a database language
