Executive Secretary X2

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

Enable the MEs to focus on strategic priorities by providing comprehensive planning; organising; administrative, communication; coordination and internal & external stakeholder management as support to the Managing Executives(MEs) in managing their daily activities effectively.,This includes, but not limited to: managing the ME’s schedule, handling email correspondence, and organising meetings, coordinating travel arrangements; maintaining office equipment and supplies; filling, record keeping; putting together as well as ensuring timely budgeting and reporting

Your responsibilities will include:

Email and Diary Management: 

  • Maintain the ME’s diary and schedule appointments and meetings.
  • Manage email inbox and screen for relevance,priority and direct to relevant person.
  • Screen meeting requests to relevant to MEs.
  • Creation of time for MEs to complete specific tasks.

Communication: 

  • Provide secretarial support at various meetings and record minutes.
  • Compile and consolidate presentations and monthly reports where necessary.
  • Draft office communication updates on behalf of the Managing Executives
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, service providers and VIP guests.
  • Recording and minutes to be kept of meetings per agreement with the MEs and distributed to relevant parties within agreed timeframes.

Administrative Support:

  • Co-ordinate events, meetings conferences, seminars, workshops, and management strategic workshops, on behalf of the MEs
  • Coordinate team building and conference activities on behalf MEs.
  • Book and co-ordinate travel arrangements and business itineraries for MEs national and international trips. 
  • Ensure the necessary office equipment and stationery is available for the business unit.
  • Create and maintain an effective filing system.
  • Log the necessary calls for office area maintenance.
  • Schedule health and safety tours for MEs
  • Log requests with respective team to manage the First Aid box.
  • Keep a complete, and up to date record of all matters related to the Business area as per agreement with MEs

Relationship Management: 

  • Maintain a good working relationship with other divisions within the wider Vodacom business units and relevant Vodafone business units.
  • Understands importance versus urgency of issues, and who needs to be addressed or informed.
  • Knows what should be confidential and demonstrates a high level of discretion.
  • Understands the various stakeholders who are important to the business and manages those relationships appropriately.

Business Support: 

  • Takes on specific business support activities as delegated by the MEs with high quality results in time and within budget.
  • Align timelines, resources, budgeting, and reporting required for specific business support tasks.

  • Matric is essential and A minimum of 2 years relevant executive secretarial experience essential.

Senior Specialist: Financial Modelling

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

Providing complex financial modelling and innovative analysis to support the Tower Company business.  
 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Business cases: Develop and continually improve business case structures to support the respective portfolio owners with finance investment decision analysis and post investment reviews (PIR) on a regular basis.
  • Modelling: Capability to forecast a large volume of IFRS16 Leases and associated operational costs on a site by site basis and track performance against it. 
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for stakeholders. Provide analysis, insights and controls over business cases and the respective PIR’s on an ongoing basis, including linking the impact to actual financial performance as well as potential impact on budgets.
  • Capex decision support and reporting: Track all capex investments and support business decision making through capex prioritisation, PIR’s, appropriate budgeting and budget tracking against the ambitions of the organisation in alignment with its Strategy

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

  • As part of the commercial playbook pricing governance is one of the key pillars to ensure we are relevant and competitive from a mark-to-market perspective.
  • As a Pricing Senior Specialist, the responsibilities would include analysing market trends, competition, and customer behavior to develop effective pricing strategies. You would support pricing for voice, mobile data, integrated and social bundles ensuring profitability while remaining competitive. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, conducting pricing research, and implementing pricing models are integral aspects of the role. Principal Specialist SCM

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

Project Manager: Customer Experience

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

To effectively manage, lead and facilitate the end-to-end delivery of customer experience projects and initiatives for various portfolios and campaigns. The incumbent must focus on both the commercial and technical tasks to ensure the successful delivery within the agreed timelines, scope and quality.  The Project will engage with various stakeholders across the business to influence Customer Experience thinking and execution.

Group Ethics Officer

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

To ensure that all Vodacom Group companies maintain high standards of corporate governance, particularly regarding the management of business ethics and digital ethics standards and requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive, influence, and implement ethics strategies within the business and across all Vodacom markets and subsidiaries.
  • Design and develop training content and provide training to all Vodacom leaders, employees, contractors, business partners, suppliers and subsidiaries on business ethics and digital ethics on a continuous basis.
  • Performing business and digital ethics risk assessments and developing and implementing risk management strategies (systems and controls) in respect of key ethics risk areas.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assist with day to day Project coordination duties such as :

Senior Specialist Machine Learning Engineering

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

The role of the Senior Software Engineer: Machine Learning is to use their knowledge of
programming and software engineering skills to enable easier use of and access to machine
learning models. As well as to support local markets and group functions in obtaining business value from the Machine Learning and AI.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop Machine Learning systems and patterns using new and existing practices
  • Productionise data science prototypes and develop Machine Learning apps according to data science requirements

Marketing Manager: Purpose

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

Responsible for the overall purpose strategy communication of the Vodacom organisation across all internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare, implement and review the marketing strategy for the overall Vodacom purpose brand, linked to Vodafone global, for South Africa and ensure alignment.
  • Setup and manage purpose steerco projects management office
  • Develop the foundation, sustainability and external affairs campaign calendar in partnership with the EHODs

Senior Co-ordinator: Retail Visual Merchandising

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

  • Serve as the central point of support to the trade and regions for end to end in store visual merchandising and retail marketing execution across branded footprint,
  • Coordinate and manage distribution on all POS elements on a monthly basis ensuring effective, qualitative and optimal delivery and installation,
  • Compile and publish Planograms as per segmentation, while ensuring timeously and quality driven communication and execution including general communication that sent to trade.
  • Lead and coordinate all booking related to Manufacturer promoters in terms of store allocation, services rendered, SLA and compliance levels. 
  • Manage collaboration and engagement with internal and external stakeholders (which includes business units, product manufacturers e.g., Samsung, etc.) ensuring effective and efficient visual merchandising management within the branded channels.
  • Support with defining, designing, and implementing a creative visual merchandising strategy that delivers on business and companywide priorities. 
  • Support with ensuring that visual merchandising within the branded channels is appealing and eye-catching and draws customers to the stores and supports with the basic visual merchandising elements meet the customer needs and creates best in class experiences.
  • Create, compile, and deliver on reporting and key information for management and various stakeholders, relating to visual merchandising performance, activity and planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

Visual Merchandising Operational Management:

  • Support with end-to-end visual merchandising aspects (initial and ongoing) for retail store transformation strategic programs (i.e. readiness of VM elements, content, live device process, in-store displays, OEM compliance) 
  • Ensure timeous and accurate monthly briefing on all visual merchandising elements


Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage collaboration and engagement with internal and external stakeholders (which includes business units, product manufacturers e.g., Samsung, etc.) ensuring effective and efficient visual merchandising management within the branded channels
  • Manage effective relationships being able to engage, communicate and influence at various levels (management, trade partners, business units)  
  • Support and coordinate visual merchandising work planning with Advertising agency briefing in-store marketing elements


Reporting Management:

  • Create, compile, and deliver on reporting and key information for management and various stakeholders, relating to visual merchandising performance, activity and planning.
  • Manage Retail Cloud system – ensuring all red flags are attended to timeously and consolidate weekly status report
  • Ensure the use of digital tools for reporting purposes e.g. Qliksense 
  • Provide comprehensive and accurate feedback and related reporting to Visual Merchandising Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Matric – essential
  • Marketing Diploma or related – essential 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related working in experience in a FMCG Retail environment or related visual merchandising roles

And/or 

  • Matric – essential
  • Minimum of 5-8 years related working in experience in a FMCG Retail environment or related visual merchandising roles
  • Excellent understanding of visual merchandising within the Retail environment is essential
  • Understanding of Vodacom’s Retail visual merchandising model is advantageous 
  • Understanding the different Vodacom business units and the various structures and stakeholders is a strong advantage 
  • Exposure to dealing with various audience and levels internally and externally is a strong advantage
