Job PurposeThe Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to provide a registry service. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.
Minimum RequirementsGrade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
RecommendationA valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. 
NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Key Performance AreasProvide register counter services; Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence; Render an effective filing and record management service; Operate office machines in relation to the registry function; Process documents for archiving and disposal.
CompetenciesA good understanding of the following: Registry duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data and operate a computer; Legislative framework governing the public service; Storage and retreival procedures; Understanding registry work; Skills needed: Proven computer literacy; Planning and organising; Written and verbal communication; Problem-solving.
RemunerationR 202 233 per annum (Salary Level 5)
