INTRODUCTION:

Komatsu South Africa has an exciting opportunity for Artisan Assistant to join our team at Germiston . The preferred candidate should have Matric/N3 Certificate, with Technical Subjects and at least 1 year experience in general workshop/technical environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric/N3 Certificate, with Technical Subjects.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1-year general workshop/technical environment experience.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Some knowledge of tools and machine repairs.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Have a passion for Heavy Earthmoving Machinery.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Remains up to date with SHE procedures. 
• Required to work overtime and standby from time to time and must be prepared to travel when needed.
• Assist the artisan in all aspects.
• Disassembles machine/components.
• Checks that equipment/tools are operational and safe.
• Reports defective equipment to artisan. 
• Must be safety orientated as machine movement and component movements are present.
• Must have some knowledge on basic tools and the purpose of tools used.
• Must be presentable and tidy.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Team player.
