Job Purpose

To strategically monitor the performance of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee chairs

Application Requirements: A three-year, career-related tertiary qualification (degree or
national diploma) in Accountancy or a related field A master’s degree in business administration (MBA) will be an added advantage
At least six years’ relevant working experience in a local government environment, focusing on financial management, of which at least three years should be at supervisory level
Computer literacy

Intimate knowledge of all political and other aspects of the political office; good writing and oral skills; ability to grasp issues of a political nature; ability to conduct research; excellent communication skills; ability to work under pressure and in stressful situations; ability to meet deadlines; good organisational skills; ability to work with limited supervision; ability to make decisions and establish work priorities;
emotional intelligence; intellectual and cognitive ability.

Ensure policy and planning operations
Ensure coaching operations
Manage and ensure reviewing operations
Coordinate and implement individual performance and rewarding
operations of Section 57 employees

Coordinate and implement individual performance and rewarding
operations of permanent employees
Coordinate individual performance and non-performance management
Execute generic planning functions
