Job Purpose:
Sandock Austral Shipyards is Africa’s leading commercial and naval Ship Builder and Ship Repair
Company which forms part of the Sandock Austral Group involved in Marine Engineering,
Aerospace & Energy sectors.
We are looking for a dedicated professional to support the Finance Department. The Finance
Administrator provides supportive role and works with cross functional Team.
The incumbent will contribute towards ensuring that all labour capturing is accurate and is
reconciled to actual hours paid. Maintenance of payment schedules and files.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reconciliation of labour hours on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for both for hourly paid
employees. - Provide weekly labour bill to labour brokers to invoice SAS,
- Maintenance project payments to ensure that the payments runs are done for each
project, (electronic and physical copies of invoices) - Creating of requisitions and when required,
- Ensuring that duplicate requisitions are not created for items.
- Assist Project Accountant to validate project costs and identify over budget costs.
- Assist Project Administrator with the project admin.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant Degree/Diploma preferred (Finance)
- Proficient with SYSPRO.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in financial or accounting sector.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software.
