Supply Chain Management Practitioner

Location: Head Office, Pretoria (Reference: PPSA 04/01/2024)
Basic Salary per annum plus benefits: R294, 321.00

Requirements:
A three (3) year tertiary qualification (NQF level 6) in Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Purchasing Management • A minimum of 3 years functional experience in Supply
Chain Management• Knowledge of SAP or equivalent Procurement system• Proven knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes and procedures, Treasury Regulations, PFMA,
PPPFA and B-BBEE (Practice notes and code of conduct for SCM Practitioners) • Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook).,

Key responsibilities:
Be involved in the administrative process of demand, acquisition and logistics • Capture requisition •Compile weekly reports on requisitions •Source quotations for goods and
services from suppliers listed on the National Treasury Central Database (CSD) or CIDB for construction related projects •Ensure the goods and services are obtained from
suppliers who scored highest points according to the PPPFA •Generate purchase order and receive deliverables of purchase •Capture goods receipts •Administer all activities
pertaining to bid administration • Render administrative support to the Bid Committees •Regularly update the contract register (Contract administration) •File and keep documents
safe •Provide supervision and guidance to SCM admin clerks.

Investigator

Requirements:
A degree or National Diploma in any of the following fields: Law/Auditing/Accounting/Forensic Investigations• Minimum three (3) years Investigation experience and/or experience in Forensic
Accounting, Forensic Investigations and Forensic Auditing • Good understanding of legislative prescripts that give mandate to Public Protector SA • Computer literacy • Understanding
Requirements of South African Public Service Administration • Knowledge and application of Case Management System (CMS) or other computer management systems • Knowledge of
auditing or investigation techniques • A valid driver’s license • Fluency in English and other official language relevant to the Province/Region

Competencies

Key responsibilities:
Conduct investigations on maladministration, undue delay and conduct failure using various investigation techniques in accordance with PPSA service standards • Prepare
Investigation Plans for each allocated matter • Apply Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process to resolve reported complaints • Keep complainants informed of the progress of
the investigation • Prepare letters, memos and reports and submit to the supervisor within timelines set in the investigation plan • Submit prescribed accurate and complete monthly
and quarterly statistical reports to the supervisor

Reporting to the Senior Manager: Supply Chain Management, the preferred candidate will be responsible for the following• Overseeing all functions of the Supply Chain Management Unit•
Assist in developing and improving /updating systems, policies and procedures in respect of Supply Chain Management• Ensuring compliance with legislative prescripts and regulations•
Liaising with Internal and External Auditors to ensure institutional accountability on Supply Chain Management matters• Managing relationships with strategic suppliers to obtain procurement
value and ensuring continuity in the supply of goods and services• Monitoring of all requests submitted through PPSA financial system including ad-hoc requests to ensure that they are
finalized• Monitoring quotations and approving purchase orders on the PPSA financial system• Monitor processes to enable that invoices are paid within 30 days. •Giving guidance and

Requirements:
An appropriate undergraduate degree in Law (B. Proc, LLB); or Public Management/Administration, Social Science, relevant Governance related qualification or any relevant qualification at

assure submissions to the Public Protector and follow up progress on implementation of Leadership Decisions• Oversee International Relations and protocol in the Public Protector’s office •
