The ARC-Grain Crops (ARC-GC) seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced, and dynamic person
to the following position at Potchefstroom
TRACTOR DRIVER – FARM SECTION FACILITIES (RE-ADVERT
Key Performance Areas:
- Maintain research fields and gardens to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations.
- Work with a tractor and light machinery plough, disk, seed bed preparation and to cut lawns in and
around the research fields. - Assist in the servicing of the agricultural equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance such as grass cutting, managing weed control and leaf raking.
- Plant and nurture new crops and various plants.
- Maintain a clean garden by clearing litter from garden and grounds.
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations
Requirements:
- Grade 10.
- 1-3 years’ experience as a tractor operator.
- Valid driver’s licence (code 08/EB).
- Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independent as well as a team member.
- Willing to do competency test during the interview process
