Critical Outputs
- Responsible for assisting in capturing of data

- Prepare daily banking schedule.

- Reconciling all cash and credit card payments for the hospital and pharmacy.
- Complete discrepancy file.

Requirements

Position: Internship for Unemployed Learner | HR Department
Introduction
An opportunity exists for 5 unemployed learners to participate in an internship within the Human Resources field. The project is aimed to provide the opportunity for unemployed learners who have successfully completed their HR- related qualifications to gain work experience in line with the qualifications.
The learner must be a graduate of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Human Resources or related qualification and will be based at the Life Healthcare Head office in Dunkeld, Johannesburg for a period of 12 months.
Critical Outputs
The internships entail the following:
The interns must specify one HR function they would like gain work experience from, and the functions are as follows:-
- Payroll
- HR Systems (IT qualification will be considered)
- Skills Development
- Organisational Development and Transformation
- Resourcing/ Recruitment and Selection
The internship will be registered with the HWSETA. Learners will receive a stipend of R 6,000 per month for 12 months.
Requirements
- Learners must be unemployed to qualify for this project.
- Learners must have completed an HR Diploma/Degree
- Only South African citizens under the age of 35 will be considered.
- Learners must have completed their qualification to participate in this project.

Senior Legal Counsel

Position: Senior Legal Counsel
Introduction
A vacancy exists for a Senior Legal Counsel based at Life Head Office, reporting to the Group Head of Legal.
The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of seamless, value added support to the Group.
This encompasses working as part of the Company Secretarial team delivering a legal service to the business, which includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and implementing legal advice to management and the business in respect of a wide variety of commercial and corporate law matters, working with external professional advisors, the negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts (including specialised transactional agreements).
Critical Outputs
Facilitating the legal requirements associated with acquisitions made by the Group and, where applicable, ensuring approval from the Competition Commission and finalising all commercial agreements in respect of such acquisitions:
- Generating a wide variety of commercial agreements, including: sale of business, shareholder agreements, sale of share agreements, service level agreements, commercial properties, leases, cessions, sub-leases, procurement agreements, confidentiality agreements and joint ventures.
- Keeping abreast of new/changed legislation and informing the business to ensure understanding of risks and commercial implications.
- Protecting the company’s interest, risk management and compliance with corporate governance, guidelines and procedures.
- Negotiation on behalf of the business in order to attain value.
- Negotiation with third parties to ensure appropriate contractual relationships and minimise risks.
- Co-ordinating litigation matters with external attorneys and counsel, and interpreting recommendations for the business.
- Drafting legal opinions.
Requirements
- LLB and Admitted Attorney
- 5 years plus post articles commercial law experience with a reputable corporate or with a reputable law firm, which includes significant experience dealing with commercial transactions and drafting of contracts.
- Experience within the healthcare industry would be beneficial, but not essential.
- In addition, the ability to work within a pressurized environment is critical.
