Job DescriptionYour primary responsibility will be managing the fixed assets process, cost centre allocations and various balance sheet reconciliations. Working with the finance team with the monthly management accounts and interacting/assisting the business with various projects. In addition you will be required to close various areas for month-end, assist with year-end audits and ad hoc projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesMONTH END, HALF YEAR AND YEAR-END

• Execute month-end closure for fixed assets in the finance department;
• Conduct and reconcile all entries related to fixed assets;
• Develop budgets for the depreciation and amortisation of Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE) and Intangible assets;
• Ensure accurate accounting of opex vs capex invoices;
• Generate a monthly fixed assets note, reconciled with the trial balance and fixed asset register for accounts preparation and external audits;
• Lead EXP meetings to compare actuals against budgeted capex spend per project;
• Take ownership of various balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals and other debtors;
• Assume responsibility for P&L items, specifically managing and overseeing other operating costs and other income;
• Oversee intercompany transactions and maintain the intercompany matrix monthly;
• Allocate costs between cost centres and stores;
• Input supplier bank details into the finance system;
• Enter exchange rates into the finance system. Provide business support to business stakeholders;
• Providing ad hoc reports where necessary;
• Dealing with interim and year-end audit queries;
• System testing involving new projects or initiatives across different software.
Qualifications and Experience• Finance degree;
• Part qualified ACCA or equivalent;
• Minimum 3 year experience in finance;
• Strong Excel skills;
• Exposure to Oracle would be advantageous;
• Previous experience of working in a fast paced multi-site retail environment would be useful.

• IT literate with experience gained in larger organisation with multiple platforms;
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet strict deadlines;

Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Finance Supervisor with great attention to detail to join our Truworths Expense Creditors team. You will be responsible to optimize department processes, provide strong leadership and communicate effectively with the team and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities• Daily supervision of Expense Creditors staff
• Support the day-to-day accounts payable operations
• Ensuring efficient, accurate and timely processing of all invoices
• Review and validation of invoices processed
• Review GL distribution of AP transactions to ensure accounting and reporting accuracy
• Building and modifying of payments in Oracle financials
• Review and monitor weekly and monthly payment runs
• Manage month-end accounts payable close processes to ensure tasks are completed timely and in accordance with proposed time frames

Qualifications and Experience• Matric plus Finance qualification
