INTERN (INTERNAL AUDIT)

OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL MANAGERS’ DEPARTMENT

Salary: R 110 088.00 per annum less statutory deductions
Duration: Fixed term contract of two (2) years
Main Tasks: The incumbent will be assisting in Internal Audit Division.

Requirements:  B.com Degree or B-Tech in Internal Auditing or relevant qualification.

Senior Team Leader (Waste Management)

Salary: R235 468. 80 per annum (Job level 12)

Job Purpose: To render a solid waste removal service to ensure the effective and efficient removal of
solid waste from facilities (litter picking, public toilets, street, refuse, medical).

Key Performance Areas: The Senior Team Leader must ensure that the daily work is done to satisfaction
and to achieve the objectives of Council  Coordinate and supervise activities of a team  Coordinate
and supervise utilisation, application and maintenance of machinery, equipment, tools and materials.
 Performs administrative and human resources related activities  Conduct planning, organising,
leading and controlling of resources  Performs driver activities using a vehicle or truck to ensure the
transporting of machinery, equipment and workers to and from the workplace. Implement waste
minimization strategy (rural)

Requirements:  Grade 12, C1 Driver’s license with PRDP and Two (02) years relevant experience.

INTERNS (Finance) X2

Salary: R 110 088.00 per annum less statutory deductions
Duration: Fixed term contract of two (2) years

Requirements:

B.com degree or B-Tech or National diploma or relevant with Accounting III, SCM related, and internal Audit, Local Government Finance, Asset Management, and Computer skills will be an added advantage.

Budget and Treasury

Main Tasks: The incumbents will be assisting in Finance: Budget and Treasury Division.

ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK (HR)

Salary: R 309 388. 80 per annum (Job level 10

The job purpose of Administrative Clerk is to provide clerical support functions to the human resources division.

Key performance areas: The Administrative Clerk must ensure that the daily work is done to satisfaction and to achieve the objectives of Council. He/she will be responsible for:  Perform general office administration Perform typing services Facilitate meeting logisticsFacilitate consolidation of divisional reports Facilitate items for Executive Committee Meeting Monitor divisional stationery.

Requirements: Grade 12, Certificate in Administration, or relevant qualification; One (1) year relevant experience and good communication skills.

ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK (ENQUIRIES)

Salary: R 428 356. 56 per annum (Job level 8)

The job purpose of Administrative Clerk is to render effective helpdesk and enquiry services.

Key performance areas: The Administrative Clerk must ensure that the daily work is done to satisfaction and to achieve the objectives of Council. He/she will be responsible for:  Render customer care service Administer applications for new, revised or terminated services.

Requirements: Grade 12, Certificate in Financial Management or related qualification; One (1) year relevant experience and good communication skills.

DRIVER OPERATOR (Roads and Building Maintenance)

Salary: R 264 642. 72 per annum (Job level 11)

Job Purpose: To drive and operate heavy vehicles.

Key Performance Areas: Driver Operator must ensure that the daily work is done to satisfaction and to
achieve the objectives of Council  Maintain and construct roads and storm water infrastructure 
Perform driver activities using a heavy machine.  Maintain and clean truck and tools.

Requirements:  Grade 12, Operator Certificate. Driver’s license with PRDP and One (01) year
experience in driving and operating a heavy vehicle.

HRM RECRUITMENT PRACTITIONER

Salary: R 534 146. 04 per annum (Job level 06)

The job purpose of HRM Recruitment Practitioner is to provide recruitment and selection services.

Key performance areas: The HRM Recruitment Practitioner must ensure that the daily work is done to satisfaction and to achieve the objectives of Council. He/she will be responsible for:  Provide recruitment and selection services Administer man plan movements (as per Personnel Requisitions) Monitor and provide feedback in terms of recruitment and man plan indicatorsAdminister Employment Survey for Economic Statistics of Employment and gross earnings Administer the development and implementation of an Employment Equity Plan for the organisation.

Requirements: National Diploma in Human Resource Management/ Public Management and Administration or relevant qualification, Driver’s license and Two (02) years relevant experience.

LIBRARY ASSISTANT

Salary: R 378 465. 84 per annum (Job level 9)

The job purpose of Library Assistant is to provide support in rendering of a library and information service
to the community.

Key performance areas: The Library Assistant must ensure that the daily work is done to satisfaction and to achieve the objectives of Council. He/she will be responsible for:  Render reference and general information service to the public. Educate and orientate public regarding the library/reading  Provide support on the use of library computers and free Internet to the users.  Prepare and maintain library material (eg. Books, magazines and newspapers) and equipment.  Provide support in administering Library membership Provide support on administering the issuing and receiving of library material. Facilitate the booking of available rooms/halls.

Requirements: Grade 12, Certificate in Office Administration or relevant qualification and 1-year relevant
experience.

Senior Civil Engineering Technician (Roads & Building Maintenance)

Salary: R 635 351. 76 per annum (Job level 4)

The job purpose of Senior Civil Engineering Technician is to plan and coordinate provision of roads
and stormwater infrastructure and construction.

Key performance areas: The Senior Civil Engineering Technician must ensure that the daily
work is done to satisfaction and to achieve the objectives of Council. He/she will be responsible
for:  Perform planning, construction, and maintenance activities  coordinate provision of
roads and stormwater in the infrastructure and servicesPerform administrative activities
associated with preparation of documents and correspondence for circulation Provide staff
supervisor.

Requirements: National Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification. Driver’s license.
Communication skills. Three (03) years’ relevant experience.
