Mathematics Head Of Department (Grades 8-12)
to commence duties in: Term 1 of 2025
Our current HOD retires at the end of 2024. We are looking for a new leader of the
Mathematics department who will:
- Lead the Mathematics department and oversee all aspects of the teaching, assessment and reporting of Mathematics in the High School.
- Expertly teach Mathematics to pupils from Grade 8 to Grade 12 level..
- Use their communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils, parents and staff.
- Be committed to participation in the extramural and pastoral programmes of the school.
Only applicants who meet the following requirements will be considered:
- A minimum of 5 years Mathematics teaching experience to Grade 12 level.
- Be registered with SACE.
- Must support the Christian ethos of the school.
- Be passionate about education and working with children.
- Have a record of several years of top Grade 12 Mathematics results.
- Independent School Teaching experience is preferable as a clear understanding of independent, co-educational school practice is necessary.
- Proficiency in computer technology including Google Suite.
- Knowledge of latest teaching trends especially regarding Mathematics teaching and educational technology.
- Proven organisational and administration skills.
- A Police Clearance certificate will be required.
- Experience in leading a Mathematics department in a high school would be an advantage.
