Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and control all tasks associated with planning, design, repairs maintenance and installations of electronic telemetry equipment
  • Investigate site equipment requirements and specifications for new projects and upgrades as well as compile equipment specification for tender documents
  • Take accountability for delivery of contracted work output within agreed parameters of SOPs, quality standards and service targets
  • Upgrade of system and instruments as well as monitoring and correct productivity and performance output.
  • Attend to routine and general administrative recording requirements contributing to the accomplishment of departmental objectives
  • Maintain telemetry databases and software backup system
  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through provision of effective service delivery

Programme Manager EPWP

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement labour intensive public employment strategies., programmes and plans.
  • Coordinate, manage and mobilize strategic internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure the effective implementation and integration of programme management frameworks, tools and systems.
  • Advise stakeholder departments, municipal entities, service providers and related stakeholders on best practice and technical knowledge relating to EPWP.
  • Develop a EPWP monitoring, evaluate and reporting framework to measure effective implementation principles in the municipality.
  • Coordinate overall EPWP related priorities with stakeholder Departments, Municipal Entities, Service Providers and all related stakeholders.
  • Develop annual joint operating plan to meet established annual objectives and organise and prioritise tasks and work processes needed to achieve the overall objectives.
  • Manage and maintain governance and risk management system of the functional area.
  • Participate in and implement budget planning principles on stakeholder department’s budget to determine their contribution to the overall annual EPWP targets.
  • Manage and ensure a customer service-oriented environment as well as determine and facilitate people management and related activities in the division.

Job Requirements

  • B Degree in Public Administration or Development Studies or Social Sciences or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in local government administration or a similar environment
  • A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment of park operations with the City of Ekurhuleni’s environmental, recreational, and community engagement objectives
  • Implement innovative practices and technologies to improve park maintenance and user experience
  • Provide leadership in the development of and implementation of operational policies and procedures
  • Ensure high standards of maintenance and operational efficiency in parks and open spaces
  •  Monitor and enforce compliance with all relevant quality and safety standards in park operations
  •  Oversee management and upkeep of park facilities to ensure they meet operational, and community needs
  • Manage maintenance, operation, and strategic utilization of fleet equipment
  • Lead and coordinate safety measures and emergency response plans for parks and open spaces
  • Develop and propose annual budget based on operational and strategic needs
  • Allocate resources efficiently across various projects and maintenance activities
  • Implement cost control measures and financial oversight
  • Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implements policies and procedures to guide park operations
  • Implement a comprehensive risk management strategy
  •  Foster strong relationship with the community and stakeholders
  • Implement initiatives to improve park services and user experience
  • Enhance team performance and accountability

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Environmental Management or Public Administration/Management
  • At least 5 years’ of relevant experience in service delivery management, environmental management, horticulture management or similar field, and
  •  3 years’ experience in management capacity/position.
