Job Description
Job Purpose: Execute converged networks, audio visual activities, maintenance and support covering PABX, analogue, IP voice, Microsoft Teams, Teams calling and all related duties to support the requirements and strategy of the PetroSA IS Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the maintenance and support of the organisation Converged Network and audio-visual infrastructure including analogue, digital, PABX systems, video conferencing technology, network topology configuration databases, conduct routine preventative converged network security measures, in accordance with PetroSA’s IS’s security guidelines and service level requirements, to ensure the converged network environment and infrastructure is operational and secure.
- Coordinate and perform the development and implementation of Converged Networks designs and design policies, strategies, architectures and technical documentation, covering PABX, analogue, IP voice and satellite communications to support the requirements and strategy of PetroSA’s incorporating all aspects of the communications infrastructure to ensure the organisation Converged network infrastructure is appropriate to the needs of the organization and cost effective and efficient use of Converged Network systems.
- Monitor Converged Network and audio-visual systems usage, system traffic and performance and quality of service provided by the system and its constituent hardware, software, transmission services, and support functions.
- Conduct reviews with users/other staff/suppliers and all other required activities, to ensure system availability with minimal disruption to operations when conducting planned maintenance and consistent quality of service provided to the organization.
- Execute incident management processes by logging, resolving calls logged on incident management system within SLA and constantly monitoring the incident management system for any incidents relating to Converged Networks and escalating incidents with service providers when required to ensure timely resolution of incidents
- Conduct the identification of risks related to Converged Networks and audio-visual infrastructure systems, and Converged Networks security breaches in collaboration with other IS sections/departments and alert management of actual or potential breaches in security within daily operations and projects/initiatives to ensure a proactive approach to risk management and continual improvement.
- Monitor and review the performance of the organization’s systems hardware, software and peripherals by gathering performance data relating to resource usage and failure rates of installed systems, performance statistics from ICT platforms, maintain records on repair, installation and removal of equipment providing appropriate logging and tracking of hardware malfunctions to enable recommendations for the tuning of system hardware and software, and monitor system efficiency against published service level agreements.
- Participate in the containment of expenditure within IS budgetary guidelines and identify savings to ensure that funds are optimally utilised in service delivery.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced Diploma (NQF Lev7) / Bachelor’s degree Information Systems or Equivalent.
- NEC Certification, Network , Microsoft Teams Telephony and CCNP will be added advantage.
Minimum Experience:
- 3 -5 years’ experience in Unified Telecommunications environment and related IS Projects
Knowledge & Competencies:
- Promotion of Access to Information Act
- Public access to Electronic Information Act
- Telecommunications infrastructure and architecture
- Telecommunications networks and operating systems

Job Description
Job Purpose: Manage regional Petrochemical sales within the petroleum refining and petroleum industry through direct customer contacts in designated geographic regions and develop and implement sales strategies to ensure continued market penetration and expansion of sales.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation of the regional strategy and plans within the specified regions and develop and implement regional strategies for Petrochemical business growth to enable the achievement of PetroSA’s strategic objectives
- Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies, project specific sales strategies for assigned customers, coordinate all related activities to ensure the achievement of business objectives
- Monitor and identify prospective sales opportunities by maintaining a regional data base of short term and long-term opportunities, schedule regular sales calls, and manage and negotiate sales agreements and associated terms as required to ensure the achievement of business objectives
- Manage and coordinate the department’s sales delivery activities which include the submission of sales activity reports, demand forecasts, sales market development, sales support, develop systems for continuous monitoring of revenue and growth in line with regional sales targets
- Manage the identification and maintenance of a detailed departmental risk register in compliance with all regulatory, safety and environmental requirements to ensure risks are addressed and mitigated accordingly in a timely manner
- Develop and implement Regional Sales policies, procedures, work practices, and provide direction to the regional sales team to ensure compliance and alignment within the department
- Evaluate, report, and maintain ongoing current knowledge of national and international Petroleum market trends, statistics, and new developments in understanding customer needs, buying influences and behaviors, competitive actions, product needs, customer bases/targets (including market segmentation), benchmarks product prices and keep abreast of legislations and regulations governing Petroleum sales to ensure best practice interventions, processes and procedures are introduced to the business
- Develop, negotiate, monitor, and review service level agreements (SLA’s) and performance with internal/external customers and service providers to ensure service standards and efficiency levels are met, regular feedback is received from users, and all performance deviations actioned in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption to service delivery
- Manage the departmental budget and expenditure by forecasting annual capital and operational expenses, managing costs against approved budget, and investigate methods to reduce/contain costs to ensure that funds are optimally utilised in service delivery
- Manage the regional sales revenue for Petrochemicals to ensure profitability in line with sales targets
- Provide an advisory service to customers with information relating to the sales of Petroleum products including contracts, service level agreements, product specific related information and all other required information and requests to ensure quality customer service
- Develop new and maintain existing customer relationships, by supporting their sales activities and aiding in identifying new opportunities, and defining and analysing customer requirements to provide unique solutions to ensure good relationships
- Manage subordinates’ performance and development of learning and growth plans to ensure good performance delivery, retention, and talent development
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- BSc / BCom/ National Diploma in Business or Finance, Engineering / Post graduate degree in Chemistry/ Commerce/ Finance/ Economics
Minimum Experience:
- 5 years sales experience in Petrochemicals and 1 year in Managerial
Knowledge & Competencies:
- Local and international petrochemical markets
- Petrochemical industry
- Commercial agreements
