| Job Purpose | To organise, lead, direct, control and coordinate Nursing functions, in order provide quality comprehensive Primary Health Care services, in accordance with relative health legislation. |
| Key Responsibility Areas | • Manages and co-ordinates the Nursing service with a Primary Health Care Area. • Provides a Personal health service together with other Departments both internally and externally. • Delegates authority and responsibility to subordinates. • Liaises, interfaces with other departments (internally and externally) and various organizations and stakeholders. • Attends to correspondence and telephonic enquires, staff problems and crises. • Deputizes for the Primary Health Care Area Manager. • Plans, leads, organizes and directs adequate control measures in respect of stocks, supplies, medicines, equipment and furniture. • Plans, leads, organizes and directs Line Human Resources Management functions. • General management of all Nursing Services within the Primary Health Care area. • Interprets and utilizes data in the planning of the Personal Health Services within the Primary Health care area. • Manages, supervises and coordinates staff within the PHC Area. • Manages, supervises and coordinates clinical and related programmes at PHC level. • Monitors and manages the approved Nursing budget, capital and operating. |

| Essential Requirements | • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in General Nursing and Midwifery. • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment, and Care. • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). • Valid motor vehicle driving license. • 5 years post professional registration experience in Primary Health Care with 3 years at a Senior Professional Nurse level. • Computer Literacy. |

| Job Purpose | To provide technical support for the range of air quality monitoring equipment to ensure rapid response to instrument failure and to avoid data loss. |
| Key Responsibility Areas | • Develop an operating and maintenance schedule for the range of air quality equipment. • Acquire the necessary skills in servicing, maintaining and repairing the range of instruments. • Respond to troubleshooting problems. • Develop standard operating procedures. • Train and develop staff in the correct use, care and maintenance of instrumentation. • Provide support in development of inventory of requirements for spares and consumables. • Administer all equipment logbooks and establish and maintain an inventory of equipment, manuals and accessories. • Scheduling and deployment of instrumentation to identified monitoring sites. • Assist with the technical evaluation of different instruments and provide support in budgeting and purchasing. • Assists in conducting analysis, measurements, sampling, evaluations and reporting. • Undertaking the operation and maintenance requirements in terms of standard operating procedures. • Provide backup support for the Instrument Technician. |
