| Job Purpose | To operate all heavy plant within Durban Solid Waste fleet. |
| Key Responsibility Areas | • Operating various items of heavy plant such as Landfill Compactor, Bull Dozer, Hydraulic • Excavator, Front-end loaders, Vibratory roller, Grader, Articulated dump/ dump trucks, Service truck and Water Tanker. • Operate the heavy plant in the right direction and angles to ensure efficient operation and prevent accidents and damage of property. • Recording daily work output, hour meter/ odometer readings by completion of relevant production sheets. • Representing management at disciplinary hearings by acting as witness. • Mentor for employees in training/ new employees in the safe and efficient operation of construction equipment. |

Paints old/ new directional signals, signs, and lines on road surfaces. Cleans worksites, stores equipment, and tools and loads materials prior to departure from work site. |
