Requirements

  1. Recognized bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Psychology / Social Science / Education or equivalent relevant qualification
  2. 2 to 3 years of working experience in the field of supporting and working with students/ young adults.
  3. Experience in counseling
  4. Knowledge of academic assessments
  5. Leadership development
  6. Sports development
  7. Advanced computer skills
  8. Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate student support and development services
  2. Identify academic support needs
  3. Provide student counseling and/or referral services
  4. Provide career guidance, counseling and academic support for students
  5. Implement Sports, Arts, and Culture programmes, Student Wellness projects, and community involvement initiatives
  6. Facilitate student governance and student leadership development
  7. Administration, supervisory role an professional development

Recommendations

  1. Registration with a professional board (HPCSA/ SACSSP or any other relevant board)
  2. Multilingualism will be an advantage
