Principal Organisational Development Consultant – Leadership Development and Team Effectiveness
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Industrial or Organisational Psychology
and Registration as an Industrial Psychologist with the
Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) - 8 years of relevant experience as an Industrial and
Organisational Psychologist (internship included)
Key Performance Areas
- Providing best practice advisory and consulting services in
respect of principles and practices applicable to Leadership
Development and Team Enablement - Implementing the City’s leadership development framework
in support of the People Strategy including measurement
of ROI - Using a range of assessment tools, including 360 assessments,
to accurately diagnose and assess leadership needs across
all levels of leadership - Developing and implementing a marketing and
communication strategy and plan for the leadership
development programmes
in the City - Continuously monitor the content and relevance of current
leadership development programmes to ensure that they
remain relevant to best practice and the needs of City
leadership - Enabling a values based culture for leadership and teams by
applying the City’s values and associated behaviours - Identifying appropriate development, enablement and
engagement opportunities to build leadership competencies
and capabilities, including coaching and EQ - Aligning best practices in individual, group and organisational
behavioural interventions and assessments including
surveys, psychometric assessments and diagnostic
instruments to design leadership and team enablement
programs or initiatives - Developing consequential team building interventions
to create and facilitate collaborative team and leadership
behaviours - Collaborating across Organisational Development and
other key stakeholders to identify future leaders using
mechanisms such as succession planning and developing
appropriate interventions designed to address leadership
development needs - Collaborating with various stakeholder to assist in the
identification of team development and enablement needs,
designing interventions to address these needs and
monitoring and evaluating the success of these interventions.

Technical Assistant
Requirements
- Matric
- Up to 2 years’ experience in Bus Operations
- Computer literacy – Microsoft Office Applications and SAP
- A valid code 08 driver’s licence
- Prepared to work afterhours and on weekends
Key Performance Areas
- Provides technical support to the branch by applying
specialised knowledge of relevant IRT Bus Operations,
policies and procedures. - Support functions — Collates and prepares qualitative and
quantitative information for inclusion into reports - Vehicle Operating Company Invoice trip and km reconciliation
- Project Management as directed by the branch from
time to time - Conducts technical inspections of IRT Bus Operations ensuring
contract compliance - Designs and implements bus and passenger surveys
- Monitoring and checking Operational forms and Vehicle
Operating Company submissions ensuring reporting
requirements and contract compliance - Assisting with the design and application of information
databases systems to extract and analyse operational
information. - General Administrative functions as directed by the branch

Senior Beach Lifeguard
Requirements
- A grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 2 years professional Surf Lifeguard experience
- A valid Advanced First Aid Certificate or equivalent
- A valid Surf Lifeguard Award or equivalent with current
annual retest. - A willingness to attend OHSACT Training
- Valid appropriate law enforcement Qualification (Peace Officer)
or willingness to attend relevant training - May not have a criminal record or a pending record I
- Drug Free – NOTE: All shortlisted applicants will be required to
undergo compulsory drug testing - Supervisory Skills Training Course Certificate or equivalent
- Surf Lifeguard Instructor’s Award, Instructors Certificate
- Valid Code EB vehicle driver’s licence
- Valid Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) driver’s certificate
- Valid Skipper’s Licence
- PRDP would be advantageous
NOTE: Incumbents will be required to undertake and pass regular
Skills and Fitness Tests as per the set standards. Incumbents will be
required to keep essential qualifications valid at all times.
Incumbents must be willing to work irregular hours including
weekends and public holidays.

required to ensure a safe, pleasant and harmonious
recreational environment for all users - Performing administrative functions
- Supervising, motivating and providing development for staff
- Upholding the professional image of the Department and

at all times - Operating, maintaining and performing the required
administrative duties relating to the use of Power Crafts - Assisting in the promotion of Water Safety Awareness
- Inspecting Surf Lifesaving Clubs
- Accepting overall responsibility for the beach, staff and
resources - Ensuring the promotion and development of Learn to Swim
and general lifesaving programmes and initiatives - Develop and implement water safety/ Drowning Prevention

Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant
Requirements
- A qualification as Post-basic Pharmacist’s Assistant (Institutional
Sector) - Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council as
Pharmacist’s Assistant (Post-basic) - At least three (3) years’ experience as a Pharmacist Assistant
(Post-Basic) with Primary Health Care (ART and TB) experience - Competent in MS Word; MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
- Administrative experience in a clinic setting will be an advantage
- A valid driver’s Licence is essential.
Key Performance Areas
- Assisting in managing and controlling pharmaceutical stock by
ordering, receiving and checking requisitions - Storing of pharmaceutical products
- Monitoring and maintaining stock
- Dispensing and checking of pharmaceutical products and
providing instructions regarding the use of medication - Performing administrative functions as required
- Working under indirect supervision at one or more site

Assistant Professional Officer Film
Requirements
- National Diploma, BTech or first degree
- Two (2) years’ relevant experience
- Proficiency in Ms Office Suite
- Valid driver’s licence
- Understanding of film in the public sector context and
background within a film commission/entity would be
advantageous.
Key Performance Areas
- Assist with conducting industry skills baseline assessments to
identify gaps in the local film industry - Assist with the development, facilitation and implementation of
film sector strategies through collaborating with identified
organisations that contribute to the development of the City’s
economy - Assist with promoting the Film Industry to residents and
businesses of Cape Town in order to create a film-friendly
City of Cape Town - Assist with coordinating the promotion of Cape Town to local,
national and international clients - Coordinate the film support process
- Assist with the effective scoping of project risks, benefit
realisation and resource allocation - Assist with coordinating the development of masterclasses
within the film industry in order to upskill as well as transfer
skills from a transformational perspective.

Car Solution Architect – Edge Car Programme
Requirements
- A minimum B degree or B Tech
- A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in Enterprise Architecture/
Solutions Architecture across all architecture domains and
experience in Governance
Key Performance Areas
- Identify Edge technologies and productivity toolsets needed
- Develop as-is and to-be architecture diagrams
- Approve and sign off on technology roadmaps across Edge
domains - Provide guidance and ensure alignment with IS&T governance,
standards and policies - Determine the detailed scope for the Edge applications
- Identify all interdependencies in relation to Edge and ensure that
these are sufficiently catered for as part of the technical specs - Develop the technical specifications required for the Edge tenders
- Input and sign off on applications and integration requirements
- Provide leadership in resolving complex issues that impact
operational landscape environment - Provide thought leadership, best practices and knowledge capital
related to Edge solutions - Manage, coordinate and implement the key performance areas of
subordinates in order to implement policies, procedures, systems and
processes.
