Specialist Technical: New Energy Business Development

A vacancy exists within the Marketing Planning Division under the newly created New Business Energy Department. This position reports to the New Energy Business Development Manager and is based in Johannesburg.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Research Analysis and Dissemination

• Analyse energy requirements of New Energy Vehicles offered from Global affiliates.
• Analyse New Energy Availability & Supply chain with Local Energy partners.
• Research Ancillary support products for all New Energy Vehicles offered from Global affiliates.

Compliance on New Energy technologies

• Assist in establishing risk framework on New Energy technology Value chain.
• Assist in researching international Regulation, Codes and Standards relating to New Energy technologies.
• Assist with Recommendation to External affairs on lobbying to government on the establishment/ amendment of existing regulation.
• Assist to internal TSAM departments in adaptation to dealer network & other internal areas.

Best Practice Implementation

• Develop and implement best practice processes.
• Use best practice learning to kaizen processes within the Marketing Planning and Communication Areas
• Assist dealer network team with NEV activities i.e. installation of chargers and other ancillary products.

Strategic Support on Carbon Neutral: Project Engineering

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of energy projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
• Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and risk analyses for potential projects.
• Prepare detailed project reports and presentations.

Demo Project Management

• Manage of Demo new Energy projects with Local partners.
• Measure and track objectives of Demo ramp up projects.

People Management and Development

• Ensure that product planners understand what each system consist of and how to use them.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• NQF Level 6 (360 credits – 8 level framework) in the field of Engineering.
• Relevant experience within the New Energy Space would be advantageous.
• Advanced MS Office Skills

Preferable

1. 1. Understanding of research techniques and experience in the field of research
   2. Analytical research ability
   3. Project Management experience is essential.

A vacancy exists in the Inbound Parts Supply Department, which forms part of the Customer Service Division and is based in Johannesburg (Atlas Road). This position reports to the Service Part Procurement Manager and will focus on the Purchasing and Inventory Management of Service Parts Supply.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Overall Inventory Management
• Manage dealer back-order aging
• Maintain supplier stock months
• Manage forecast performance
• Manage ETD Accuracy
• Daily action file distribution and communication to other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• NQF Level 5: (240 credits – level 8 framework) Supply Chain Management; Finance Management; Engineering; Logistics Management or similar
• Minimum 2 years working experience, working in a team and influencing others
• Project Management experience
• Automotive industry experience would be an advantage
• Good communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written)
