Job description
Providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring.
Minimum requirements
- Certificate: Grade 12.
- Diploma: Human Resources Management (NQF Level 6) (Required).
Education and Requirements:
- 3 Years’ experience in Recruitment administration.
- 2 Years’ HR Generalist experience (included in overall experience).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office) with advanced Excel
- System Skills – Oracle, Human Resource Information Management Systems & Sharepoint.

- Participate in planning process for section. Execute plans within standard.

- Determine the recruitment requirements in the context of the BRMO business plan employee movements and Employment Equity targets.
- Process approved labour requests and brief Recruitment Section on requirements, such as urgency, recruitment strategy and employment equity targets and gaps.
- Provide input in support of the recruitment process. Interpret the special conditions, if any, a newly employed employee must adhere to be appointed at the prescribed grade and salary and plan the assistance required to comply.
- Monitor the performance of the probation conditions and ensure appropriate action is taken timeously if required such as informing the Employee of non-conformance or termination if appropriate.

Introduction

Job description
Main Task and Responsibility: Ensure safe and effective operation of the shaft winder for the haulage of ore, persons, explosives and materials during a shift.
Minimum requirements
- Certificate: Grade 12.
- Certificate: Winding Engine Driver.
- Valid Drivers License: Code B / EB.
Experience and Requirements:
- 3 Years Winding Engine Driver experience in a mining operations environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ensure working according to regulation 16 of the mine and mineral act.
- This includes daily inspections, overwinds, under winds etc.
- Ensure safe and effective operation of the shaft winder for the haulage of ore, persons and materials during a shift.
- Ensure appropriate operation of winder during shaft and conveyance maintenance.
- Maintain legal registers.
- Perform daily safety checks on machinery and equipment and report deviations.
- Ensure to report any defaults/malfunctions of the winder immediately to supervisor.
- Ensure the cabin of the winding machine is clean and tidy at all times according to BRMO standards.

Job description
Prepare, maintain and operate production equipment. Maintain and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems and equipment. Conduct daily and weekly inspection on Winders as per MHSA and regulations.
Minimum requirements
- Certificate: Grade 12 / N3 (Required)
- Certificate: Trade Test Fitter (Required).
- Relevant winder and ropes training (Required)
Experience and Requirements:
- 3 Years post apprenticeship Fitter in heavy industrial, mining environment and experience in Winders as Fitter within mining environment.
- Valid Drivers License Code B / EB.
- Should obtain Dover B symbol.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Complete daily inspection checklists for tools, equipment and work areas. Report problems and make recommendations to Supervisors.

Implement, maintain and enhance processes and equipment across the BRMO value chain in support of the BRMO quality control philosophy.

Minimum requirements

- 5 Years Process Plant exposure in mining industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Operational Use of Analysers. Ensure online analysers are utilised effectively and in line with the BRMO quality control philosophy. Enable improved in-shift decision by utilising in-time quality data.
- Conduct investigations regarding improvements of current processes and existing technology for optimisation.
- Establish methods and procedures to complete work schedules and coordinates work activities with other Project Managers, Metallurgists/Engineers and Technical staff.
- Establish and understand client’s needs and objectives for a successful project or campaign.
- Carries out all the planning, scheduling and coordination required to execute a projector campaign.
