QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate should hold a three-year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with majors in Accounting, Economics, and Finance including either Risk Management or Auditing among others
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Recent graduates in the fields of accounting, economics or finance. Applicants must be unemployed, recently qualified and be residing within Nkangala District Municipality. Original copies of certificate and proof of residence is required with applications. Verification will be done to ensure that applicants are residing in Nkangala District Municipality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The MFMIP seeks to assist municipalities to develop the knowledge and skills of the interns employed under this programme in areas such as strategic planning and management, municipal budgeting and finance management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12.
- A relevant three (03) year tertiary qualification, preferably a National Diploma or B Com with financial accounting as a major subject.
- Computer literacy: MS Office.
- CPMD/ MFMP Certificate will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 1-3 years’ relevant experience in Finance. Good Knowledge and understanding of relevant policy and legislation, good knowledge and understanding of institutional governance systems, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Updating files and record keeping systems using sequential alpha-numeric references to code documentation/correspondence and reports.
- Retrieving specific information to support processing adjustment/queries
- Source payment documentation against receipts/delivery
- iv. Process entries and approved adjustments and post to ledger accounts
- Reconcile general and statutory account balances
- Receive of requisitions for authorization and creating of orders
- Receiving and verifying of invoices with the relevant source document
- Opening of beneficiaries on banking system
- Capturing of payments on the Financial and Banking System
- Attending to internal and External queries
- Creation and deletion of requisition
- Perform any other duties as instructed by Supervisor

- Procures goods and services in accordance with MFMA, SCM regulations and policies;
- Maintains a database of approved vendors;

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12. A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferably a National Diploma or B Com with financial accounting as a major subject. Local Government Finance (NQF Level 6) and Computer literacy: MS Office. CPMD/ MFMP Certificate is an added requirement.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 0 -2 years’ relevant experience in Finance. Good Knowledge and understanding of the various regulations, legislations, practice notes and policies governing the Finance environment in a municipality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend to the application of specific processes associated with updating the Payroll System parameters.
- Executes specific procedures and applications associated with the verification and processing payroll information.
- Preparing schedules to reflect statutory and other relevant returns forwarding to the immediate supervisor for approval and submitting approved reconciled schedules to the respective institutions.
- Filing of salary documents.
COMPETENCY LEVELS:

- Performs basic tax calculations.
