Safety Administrator – XEMPD502

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure efficient and effective administrative service, provide administrative support implementation of procedures and application of systems, for the smooth running of the PEP.
  • Receive and consolidate reports received from Team Leaders.
  • Timeous submission of weekly reports and attendance registers to Senior Supervisor.
  • Manage and keep documents containing classified information and adhere to confidentiality principles.
  • Create and maintain a conducive and peculiar filing system.
  • Minute and type correspondence as required by the project manager.

  • Previous experience working with learners / youth/ and in developmental field
  • SA Citizen
  • Resident of City of Ekurhuleni- proof of residence will be required
  • Focus group: Young person’s 18-35 years
  • ICT knowledge and experience will be an advantage
  • Demonstrable Knowledge of the Library Services and Programmes
  • Library experience / membership (will be an advantage)
  • Communication and Administrative skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop programs in line with the library functions and activities
  • Assist with Community Skills Development Programs and Services in the libraries
  • Perform Library counter and shelving duties and related auxiliary services – when required
  • Required to work on Saturdays and flexi hours when required
  • To provide learners with afterschool support and tutoring (home work assistance)

  • Provide facility and community based programmes and awareness campaigns through safety data collection
  • Ensure work completed adherence to governance and legislative requirements

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Post Matric Qualification in arts, culture, creative and performing arts
  • South African Citizen
  • Resident of City of Ekurhuleni
  • Young person 18 -35 years, but men and women over 35 years will be considered
  • Understand of the arts and culture in South Africa
  • Knowledge in performing arts programmes and projects including dance, theatre, acting and music
  • People’s management skills and facilitation of artistic programmes
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Arts and Urban Management Programmes
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support and facilitate arts programmes of all age groups and have sound knowledge of facilitation.
  • Assist with programmes/productions coordination and impact assessment to enhance arts, culture, and heritage (ACH) initiatives through local, community, and private collaborations.
  • Teach and direct arts programmes for all age groups, covering various art disciplines such as – theatre acting, music genres, and voice production skills.
  • Support and guide arts and culture groups, musicians, and performers both physically and via digital platforms, including social media.
  • Attend and provide constructive feedback on programmes, both verbally and in writing.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and handle administrative tasks related to programme facilitation.
  • Understand the political, cultural, and economic context of Ekurhuleni to ensure programme alignment with community needs.
  • Manage participants, fieldworkers and practitioners involved in the skills mapping programme, ensuring accurate data capture, and processing.
  • Oversee the quality and effectiveness of productions/programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of the Arts, Culture, and Heritage Division.

  • Capture service delivery complaints
  • Escalate unresolved service delivery logged queries that are still open in the system
  • Draw-out daily service delivery system generated reports
  • Respond to data-related inquiries from other departments
  • Provide support for data-related projects and initiatives

  • Provide administrative support to the PEP program
  • Plan, Provide and project manage Community Skills Development Programs for / and in conjunction with Cadets
  • Provide 4IR Support services
  • Perform Library related auxiliary services
  • Ensure work that is completed, adheres to policies and procedures
  • Assist the communities with basic computer knowledge
  • Managing and operating the livestream studio
  • Development of community information databases
  • Required to work extended / flexi hours and on Saturdays
