Talent Acquisition Specialist (Corporate Functions)

Job Description

You act as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, strategically partnering with People Business Partners  and our Business to deliver a specialist service for all Professional, Management  and critical roles within Corporate, Group Functions and CSL. You ensure an efficient and effective talent acquisition process and identify great talent to meet the company’s objectives. You will act as a strategic talent scout, innovator, collaborator and effective networker across all functions in Tiger Brands and use the Employer Brand to focus on key talent segments and design focused acquisition campaigns.

Responsibilities

§Act as a strategic Talent Acquisition partner and manage the day-to-day operational activities  for your assigned business areas.

§Leverage the Employer Brand to focus on key talent segments and design focused acquisition campaigns to build and sustain relationships with the channel providers (where needed)

§Utilise the  Strategic Workforce Plan of the organization to ensure proactive talent acquisition, retention and succession.

§Work with the Group Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand Manager to build and maintain a consolidated Group preferred supplier list

§Proactively sourcing talent for the Snr Leadership, Professional and Critical Roles in partnerships with HRBPs

§External mapping  and creation of talent pools for leadership and critical skills – this includes roles at DU & E band that are critical to the organization’s strategy execution across the group.

§Talent Acquisition analytics and Business Intelligence including mining of data from LinkedIn and other channels in collaboration with the people insights specialist for the TA Hub

§Utilise sourcing agencies and channels such as LinkedIn, Glass Door, Rising Star, SAGEA, Universum etc. in collaboration with the Young Talent development team to increase the absorption of young talent into professional vacancies

§Schedule and conduct recruiting strategy meetings with senior management for open positions and discusses methodology to ensure the most qualified candidates are identified

§Work closely with the People and Talent Managers to fill vacant roles with internal and external pipeline candidates

§Support full life-cycle recruiting process for assigned  Professional and Critical Roles

§Drive compliance to Employment Equity targets as specified in BBBEE plan

§Manage technology and digital platforms that enable talent acquisition across Tiger

§Support the development of talent research capability and expertise

§Identify and utilize relevant multiple channels to attract and source candidates for the different workforce segments, open roles and pipelining as per the sourcing strategy including: association meetings, meet ups, industry meetings, career fairs, university open days, internet, employee referrals, etc

§Utilise and maintain applicant tracking system, understand the candidate work flow process for the Group

§Track and report on talent acquisition key metrics to measure and evaluate effectiveness of programmes, processes to ensure continuous improvement

§Conduct candidate screening interviews

§Lead the hiring manager satisfaction process to calibrate candidates, and refine sourcing plan as necessary

Qualifications

Key attributes and competencies

•Relationship building – with demonstrated success at building and managing meaningful relationships with external candidates and business leadership

•Stakeholder management – build and maintain internal and external relationships

•Talent Analytics – Talent Acquisition analytics and Business Intelligence including mining of data

•Talent Acquisition Team Lead expertise – with a deep knowledge on methods and strategies to convert highly skilled candidates into Tiger Brands employees

•Negotiation skills – with an ability to negotiate contracts that align Tiger Brands and candidate salary expectations

Experience

•Tertiary qualification in the humanities or related field advantageous

•Minimum of 5 years experience in talent acquisition and talent mapping

•Prior experience of full life-cycle executive position recruitment experience with at least 3 years in a corporate environment (preferably FMCG)

•Experience working with multiple senior stakeholders with demonstrated ability to influence leaders at the highest levels of the organisation

•Experience and knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems, Social media Platforms and Search Engines

People Experience Manager: Culinary, STB, TBI & Commercial CoE

Job Description

You lead the talent, learning, development  and change initiatives within the function to drive best practice HR solutions that deliver the people effectiveness objectives in line with the business and people strategies. You collaborate with  your business,  Talent, People and Organisational Effectiveness  CoEs to craft function specific solutions that achieve the function’s people development strategies and plans.

Responsibilities

§Contribute to the business strategy by helping leaders to identify, prioritise and build people capabilities, behaviours and structures

§Drive the execution of the function specific sourcing strategy to fill key roles, ahead of time

§Drive the implementation of all talent management related processes – such as talent reviews, career development, succession planning etc.

§Manage the integration of the Management Trainees within the function and oversee functionally specific learning pathways (eg. TOPP in Finance, CMSA in Marketing etc)

§Drive execution and co-ordination of function-specific core capability development in line with the Tiger Learning and Development (L&D) Strategy

§Provide function specific L&D reporting

§Drive the implementation and embedment of all Learning and Leadership initiatives, ensuring business impact and a smooth and rewarding learner experience

§Act as a change ambassador, driving the business-specific change management , processes and interventions

§Collaborate with the Change CoE to develop and implement function specific change and employee engagement programmes to enable business performance.

§Drive culture transformation interventions and practices that contribute to making Tiger a “Great Place to Work”

§Provide facilitation support  for change interventions to achieve adoption in the business on a Leadership level to improve team and organization effectiveness

§Enable  the development of a best-in-class core capability/function specific competencies and learning curriculum

Qualifications

Key attributes and competencies

Commercial savviness & business understanding – with a deep understanding of the key drivers for success in the business area / function, major business trends and relevant processes

People expertise – with a deep understanding of how HR activities contribute to business strategy execution

HR skills : In-depth specialist knowledge in talent, learning, development  and change

Collaboration – with an ability to engage, inspire and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels of the company

Communication skills – with an ability to convey a vision and clear messages to different target groups

•Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between HR ad business strategy

Experience

•Bachelor’s Degree or professional qualification

•Minimum of 8-10  years related experience

•Knowledge and proven track record in implementation of impactful HR development and workplace programmes (e.g. talent, organizational effectiveness & development, engagement, learning and leadership etc.)

•HR Specialist and Business partnering experience
