SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) is part of the Product Engineering board area in SAP. ECS is responsible for providing cloud hosted infrastructure, technical & application managed services to our SAP private cloud customers. The Technical Service Manager (TSM) is the single point of contact for all technical topics in context of the customer’s S/4 HANA Private cloud engagement.
 
What you will do
As a Technical Service Manager you will contribute to SAP’s global strategy by supporting our customers with their SAP S/4 HANA adoption on their path to the Intelligent Enterprise as part of the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services team. TSMs play a critical part in helping our customers accelerate their cloud transformation journey and enable them to achieve the business values and outcomes they want from their SAP landscape. Your will act as a trusted technical advisor to our customers and partners. This includes analysing customer’s business requirements and problems and working across the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services and other SAP departments to provide quality services to our customers, resolve technical complexities and accompany them throughout their entire cloud transformation journey.

As Technical Service Manager you will be responsible for the following tasks: 

  • Primary contact for customers for discussions about SAP technology and innovations and serve as an escalation point person for technical issues, service requests and incidents
  • Understand the customer business, goals, and challenges to suggest technical solutions & services
  • Offer comprehensive knowledge on SAP S/4HANA architecture, conversion, migration path, methodology and tools.
  • Understand the SAP high availability or disaster recovery architecture, network and virtual technologies (load-balancer, virtual machine)
  • Identify top issues, define & execute service plan activities and orchestrate implementation of technical action items across customer landscapes
  • Design optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability.
  • Identify and position offerings by SAP that deliver value to the customer

 
What you need to bring

  • Minimum 7+ years of SAP Technical administration and operations of SAP Solutions (preferably in the domain of SAP Basis) 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role
  • Hands on experience and working knowledge of Unix/Linux flavors, SAP HANA and Sybase data bases
  • Experience in de-escalating critical situations
  • Fluency in English mandatory, fluency in Portuguese & French highly appreciated
  • Solid know-how on SAP Technologies and Products (SAP certification highly beneficial) 
  • Hyperscalers certification (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus

Education, qualifications, skills, and competencies:

  • Good technical college or university degree (diploma / bachelor / master) in computer science, business informatics, or comparable work experience.
  • At least 6 years of broad experience in SAP technologies, with a focus on Business Technology Platform and S/4HANA, including several years of experience in both consulting and technology development.
  • Several years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning technologies
  • Proven hands-on experience with SAP Business AI (AI Core, AI Services, Joule) is a plus
  • Sound programming knowledge and experience in Python, Javascript, or ABAP/ABAP OO.

Job Title: Technology Senior Logistics Consultant

As a Technology Senior Logistics Consultant, your job will involve working in a global team,

focusing on positioning and delivery of DMLT services in South Africa, Global, as well as internal projects.

Your main tasks are:

  • Identify customer’s logistics business needs and designing and architecting the appropriate solution proposal from the Data Management & Landscape Transformation (DMLT) portfolio and beyond.
  • Lead and drive customer opportunities throughout all engagement phases (presales, sales and delivery) and architecting potential solution design.
  • Lead and facilitating customer’s workshops and discussions to validate the best solution design for the customer’s requirement.
  • Lead the delivery of DMLT projects remotely and onsite, in distributed regional and global teams.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and system analyses, supported by SAP DMLT technology and methodology.
  • Contribute to continuously enhance the DMLT solution design according to changing market requirements and identify potential enhancements, continuously improving our service offering.
  • Closely collaborate with people in different roles across the company.
  • Establish and maintain trustful relationships with Market Unit colleagues on all levels, of both externally on customer side and SAP internally and externally.

YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent relevant job experience.
  • Minimum 10 years (preferably international) SAP consulting experience in customer engagement role.
  • Has worked as enterprise architect or advisor to customers helping customers build their IT Roadmap leveraging SAP Products and services.
  • Has strong networking skills, a positive customer centric work attitude.
  • Has a strong understanding of SAP ECC / S4HANA data model with sound understanding processes in Logistics application modules.
  • Has strong exposure to working with SAP Customers from different industry segments such as Public Sector, Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Goods, Utilities, Automobile etc.
  • Has led minimum 2 complex data migration projects to SAP S4HANA.
  • Have experience in positioning services in the area of data migrations, data transformations, Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures.
  • SAP DMLT tools. methodology and data migration experience is beneficial.
  • Relevant SAP Technology experience, SAP Business Technology Platform is a plus.
  • Process know-how for essential business processes like Lead-2-Cash, Procure-2-Pay, Design-2-Operate or Hire-2-Retire are a strong asset.
  • Additional experience in SAP S/4HANA, BW/BW4, CRM and CX, SRM and ISM, HCM/SuccessFactors, Data Management Solutions (MDG, ILM,..) or SAP Industry Solutions is a benefit.
  • Proven track in C-level communication.

The DMLT group serves SAP customers in managing their data and transforming their landscapes. Business, market, and technology changes result in realignment of business processes and structures. This reflects in various transformation and transition activities, such as

  • Fast-track data migration and (selective) transition to the Intelligent Enterprise Suite (IES) (SAP S/4HANA cloud, SAP S/4HANA, BW/4, C4/H, SuccessFactors, SAP Data Intelligence and more).
  • Manage business challenges that come with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Optimization of processes and data, or organizational restructuring by ensuring data harmonization, data restructuring or the consolidation of system landscapes.
  • Improve management of data from strategy to execution, with the focus on data quality, data privacy, data volume and lifecycle, data integration, and master data management.

Orchestrates the design of a holistic architecture model.  Combines SAP DMLT software and technology solutions with the specific customers business and technology strategy as well as their operating model.   

Regular involvement in project is 80% – 90%. 

Your main tasks are: 

  

  • Identify customer’s business needs and designing and architecting the appropriate solution proposal from the Data Management & Landscape Transformation (DMLT) portfolio and beyond. 
  • Lead and drive customer opportunities throughout all engagement phases (presales, sales and delivery) and architecting potential solution design. 
  • Lead and facilitating customer’s workshops and discussions to validate the best solution design for the customer’s requirement. 
  • Lead the delivery of DMLT projects remotely and onsite, in distributed regional and global teams. 
  • Conduct feasibility studies and system analyses, supported by SAP DMLT technology and methodology. 
  • Contribute to continuously enhance the DMLT solution design according to changing market requirements and identify potential enhancements, continuously improving our service offering. 
  • Closely collaborate with people in different roles across the company. 
  • Establish and maintain trustful relationships with Market Unit colleagues on all levels, of both externally on customer side and SAP internally and externally. 

  

YOUR PROFILE 

  • University degree (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent relevant job experience. 
  • Minimum 10 years (preferably international) SAP consulting experience in customer engagement and technical role. 
  • Has worked as enterprise architect or advisor to customers helping customers build their IT Roadmap leveraging SAP Products and services. 
  • Has strong networking skills, a positive customer centric work attitude. 
  • Has a strong understanding of SAP ECC / S4HANA data model with sound understanding processes in at least 2 of the application modules – SAP Finance, Controlling MM, SD, PP, PM. 
  • Has strong exposure to working with SAP Customers from different industry segments such as Public Sector, Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Goods, Utilities, Automobile etc. 
  • Has led minimum 3 – 4 complex data migration projects to SAP S4HANA. 
  • Have experience in positioning services in the area of data migrations, data transformations, Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures. 
  • SAP DMLT tools. methodology and data migration experience is beneficial. 
  • Relevant SAP Technology experience, SAP Business Technology Platform is a plus. 
  • Process know-how for essential business processes like Lead-2-Cash, Procure-2-Pay, Design-2-Operate or Hire-2-Retire are a strong asset. 
  • Additional experience in SAP S/4HANA, BW/BW4, CRM and CX, SRM and ISM, HCM/SuccessFactors, Data Management Solutions (MDG, ILM,..) or SAP Industry Solutions is a benefit. 
  • Proven track in C-level communication. 
  • Excellent communication and moderation skills, strong team spirit. Fluency in English required.

Data Management and Landscape Transformation services offer a holistic approach for customers data-related needs with data quality and data integration services. The DMLT group serves SAP customers in managing their data and transforming their landscapes. Business, market, and technology changes result in realignment of business processes and structures. This reflects in various transformation and transition activities, such as 

  • Fast-track data migration and (selective) transition to the Intelligent Enterprise Suite (IES) (SAP S/4HANA cloud, SAP S/4HANA, BW/4, C4/H, SuccessFactors, SAP Data Intelligence and more). 
  • Manage business challenges that come with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. 
  • Optimization of processes and data, or organizational restructuring by ensuring data harmonization, data restructuring or the consolidation of system landscapes. 
  • Improve management of data from strategy to execution, with the focus on data quality, data privacy, data volume and lifecycle, data integration, and master data management.
