KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful incumbent will be responsible for:
- Providing technical support in the improvement,
maintenance, and monitoring of existing management
systems and standard operating procedures (ISO45001
Management System). - Ensure adherence to all company HSE processes and
procedures. - Conducting and compiling routine safety compliance,
inspections, and audits against authorizations,
guidelines, and legislations, and creating action plans for
addressing areas of non-compliance. - Conduct Pro-active planned and unplanned safety
inspection and produce reports. - Ensuring Fire extinguishers and first aid boxes are
compliant (Serviced and not blocked). - Conduct and review risk assessments.
- Actively compiling information for weekly, monthly, and
various reports submissions. - Schedule and Conduct emergency response drills.
- Compile information and participate in incident
investigations. - Ensure that noticeboards display important HSE
information. - Attend and Write minutes of the HSE statutory
meetings. - Assist in driving the CAPAs (Corrective Actions and
Preventative Actions) System.

Job Description
RCL FOODS seeks a highly organized, responsible and proactive SHERQ Administrator with excellent admin & systems capabilities to join the SHERQ Team based in Krugersdorp West. The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing professional administrative support across a range of SHERQ day to day duties. The successful incumbent will also take overall responsibility for administrative support in relation to maintaining data quality systems.
Minimum Requirements
Matric and related studies on Food Technology or Biotechnology or Safety or Environmental/ studies in progress.
Various SHERQ related short courses will be advantageous.
Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ work experience.
Administration background will be advantageous.
Good understanding of HACCP, GMP, EHS systems
Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel graphs & Power point) & Reporting Skills).
Duties & Responsibilities
Contractor management:
Assist in contractor management- updating the SHE/SQA files.
Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments.
Enforce compliance of regulatory requirements including company TIMS policies and procedures.
Induction of contractors when needed.
Internal & External Audits:
Conduct Internal inspection and /or audits.
Assisting with documentation, records and files during both internal and external audits
Compile audit action plans.
Raising NCR’S for internal & external audits and follow up.
Administration:
Document control of all TIMS documents
Preparation of reports & presentations required as per TIMS.
Keep and populate minutes for meetings (food safety/ health and safety/ Management review meeting/ team meetings)
Capture and manage; Non-Conformances- Update NCR tracker and follow up on the outstanding NCR, Corrective Action Request, Internal Audit, Incident Management and Change Control, System software, data management and integrity
Compile & Trend info for OHS, Food safety meetings and management reviews: Micro, NCR’s, Complaints, GMP’s, Training, CCP’s, Medicals, incidents, etc.
Update training tracker and training skills matrix.
Distribute weekly Safety Toolbox Talks & monthly TIMS inspections to the SHERQ representatives.
Managing and purchasing of PPE.
Ensure first aid boxes are inspected monthly.
Arranging calibration / services of risk related equipment.

Siqalo Foods is on the hunt for an experienced QA Analyst, the role will be based in Boksburg and reports to the QA Coordinator. The successful incumbent will assist with the quality assurance service to the business in order to ensure that products produced by the company are fit for use by the consumers according to Company’s specifications and standards. To drive zero defect culture within the organization.
Minimum Requirements
National Diploma in Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry or equivalent relevant to the job e.g., Packaging technology / Food Science etc.
1–3 years experience in manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Inbound
Perform all in-coming raw and packaging material inspection on shift when required, for non-conformities against company’s specifications and standards.
Submits detected non-conformities to the QA Coordinator, QA Manager, Planning and Buying in order to follow up with suppliers.
Conversion – Manufacturing
Perform all in-process analyses for non-conformities against company’s specifications and standards
Responsible for auditing the analysis of bulk materials products, test equipment used and analyses conversion procedures.
Ensures that Quality/measuring equipment across the factory are calibrated.
Monitors test results and Logs them daily.
Packing Hall
Carries out Factory quality audits on the packed products and decides whether or not to release the finished goods to the trade.
Carry out line start up verification for quality and food safety
Carryout on line trouble shooting to identify product quality issues and generating of NCA in the event that quality defects are identified.
Support operations and engineering by identifying process and quality improvement opportunities within the Supply chain.
Performs ex-factory CRQS, and data entry onto the system
Collect samples from each operator’s lines as per the retention schedule and CRQS standard.
Outbound
Analyses defective stock
Complete comparative studies of company quality vs competitor products
Consumer Complaints
Evaluating consumer and customer complaints against standards and completing evaluation documentation.
Lead problem solving kaizens derived from Q prioritization matrix to obtain zero defects
Laboratory Requirements
Ensures company test methodology is followed
Analyses of quality stream during trials
Run all analytical test require for all factories.
Ensure good lab practises
Ensures equipment calibration
Carry out monthly checks discarding retention samples that are older than the specified retention period plus one-month.
Retrieval of samples from retention location and setting-up against customer complaint sample and preparing all the necessary forms for evaluation.
Maintain an environment of 5s within retention storage area and laboratory facility.
Participate in taste panels as approved tester and make decisions on status of products in terms of acceptance or rejection.
