The key purpose of this role is to provide the plant with a comprehensive and professional Asset Management System. Ensuring compliance to Maintenance systems, standards and work practices to achieve targets set for the Maintenance Pillar.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Safety standards and guidelines and drive a safety culture to ensure safety in the work environment
- Maintenance Pillar Owner for the Plant
- Use effective Loss and Waste analysis to identify gaps in the Plant Maintenance system vs VPO
- Drive actions to close the gaps
- Monthly review of VPO gap closure and score
- Quarterly review of VPO managed
- Monthly and quarterly updates sent to Organize, implement and execute VPO in Area
- Manage the Plant and Department indicators to achieve target
- Achieve ZBB commitments for Department and ZBB Maintenance for Plant
- Lead the ZBB Maintenance Budgeting process for the Plant
- Manage Engineering Stores inventory to optimize Working Capital
- Identify and develop VA initiatives for future VA commitments and drive and monitor current year committed VA initiatives
- Achieve VA and VIC commitments for the Plant and Department
- Manage Engineering Stores, Site Maintenance, Condition Monitoring, Control and Automation infrastructure
- Attend the Plant’s routine meetings according to the MCRS and TOR‘s
- Interface with appropriate Local government authorities to ensure compliance to statutory policies and regulations for pressure vessels
- Plan and execute the actions required to comply with the applicable, local, state and municipality laws
- Ensure and assure suitable training capability exists (material and facilitators) suitable to cover Maintenance training needs
- Raise the training and development needs of your team and ensure their execution
- Manager the apprentice development program for the Plant
- Ensure targeted GOPS compliance % is achieved
- Manage Capex project portfolio and execution of projects vs. plan for the Plant
- Ensure the correct scoping of Plant Capex Projects for the Plant
- Ensure a 3-year plan exists for Maintenance and replacement of C&A infrastructure due to obsolescence
- Ensure a 3-year plan exists for Maintenance and replacement of Plant Equipment across Sites
- Lead, coach and train team members
- Ensure continuous improvement in engagement of people in the Plant
- Manage 5S inside the department
- Co-ordinate and assure Tracking and Monitoring Maintenance information to the Zone is correct and timeously submitted

Minimum requirements:
- BSc Engineering: Electrical or Mechanical
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Maintenance Management with deep expertise in asset management
- Experience of SAP maintenance System
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing people

Key purpose: To provide artisan skill and knowledge to the team, and to support the operations, maintenance and problem-solving activities.
Key roles and responsibilities
Operational Support
- Provide specialist support to the shift-based teams during operations, this will include standby and day shift support
- Where requested, assist as a functional expert in problem solving
- Where requested, provide guidance and advice to the shift-based teams on machine operation, machine fault finding and correct responses to machine failure modes
- Where requested, provide coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer of machine operation to shift based teams
- Assess Operators and Artisans ability to carry out tasks
- Take part, as functional expert, in regional and central office plant optimization trials. Adhere to work practices that support shift-based teams
Maintenance
- Take part in maintenance planning meeting, contributing suggestions and clarifying work required
- Carry out work during the planned, routine and opportunity maintenance window in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule issued by the Planner where scheduled work cannot be completed, feedback is given to the Maintenance Planner for direction: this may involve rescheduling the work or prioritizing outstanding work
- Assist fellow team members in the execution of their tasks in during planned maintenance windows
- Complete any administration and SAP tasks, SIGGA, Problem Terminator in support of planned maintenance
- Partake in maintenance postmortems to feedback problems, opportunities and learnings from maintenance activities
- Carry out Autonomous Operations as per requirements Partake in cleaning, lubrication and inspection in accordance with the maintenance schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner must be resolved using the appropriate problem-solving techniques
- Carry out routine maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule where problems have been uncovered during routine maintenance (where required, additional resources may be called in to assist)
- Verify that where running repairs have been carried out, this has addressed the problem
- Complete the administration tasks relating to any running repairs has carried out (this includes all SAP & SIGGA, Problem Terminator inputs)
- Where running repairs cannot be carried out, communicate this to the Maintenance Planner to ensure the work is planned into the next planned window
Problem Solving
- Assist fellow team members to resolve problems on request Take part, as functional expert, in AB reports on request
- Where necessary, call in additional resources to assist in problem solving or escalate to the Packaging Engineer and the Performance and Continuous Improvement Manager for direction
- Analyze machine performance, conduct loss and waste analysis and develop action plans to improve performance
House Keeping
- Operate in a safe manner at all times, and identify and highlight unsafe work practices so that these may be corrected
- Carry out work according to the work instructions and adhere to appropriate SAB policies and procedures and VPO Standards
- Carry out housekeeping tasks and apply 5S principles during the execution of duties
Minimum requirements:
- Trade Test Mechanical/Millwright (Mechanical Bias)
- Minimum N3 Mechanical
- 2-3 year’s experience

The key purpose of this role is Identifying and delivering initiatives to deliver step change performance improvement and process stability in order to realize true process capability.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Partake in the development of the asset care plan for the brewing, contributing suggestions and providing expert advice
- Implement the asset care plan for the brewing, ensuring the engineering team have the required competencies
- Ensure that asset care goals are incorporated into engineering team and individual goals
- Audit compliance to the asset care program by both the engineering team and shift-based teams
- Ensure that asset care competencies are developed in the engineering team
- Where training needs have been identified, through the training specialist, ensure these are addressed
- Exercise budgetary controls over the asset care requirements of brewing
- Responsible for the overall reliability and uptime of brewing plant
- Lead the engineering team in the provision of asset care and engineering support to the shift-based production teams
- Verifies that engineering team are carrying out routine and planned maintenance, and validates quality of work
- Verifies that the maintenance systems are working properly, and that data integrity and information accuracy maintained
- Reviews plant reliability to ensure equipment is operating optimally and to identify problems or opportunities timeously
- Takes part in maintenance problem solving, and ensure that engineering team is applying the correct problem-solving techniques
- Takes part in regional and central office plant optimization trials, providing advice, assistance and guidance where required
- Evaluates impact of new plant and equipment, and signs off all plant modifications and changes
- Analyses plant performance data to identify opportunities for improvement to plant performance, and initiates opportunity evaluation

- Ability to ensure that all equipment and resources are available for an effective maintenance system
- Ability to manage and ensure an effective spares stock levels and to ensure that costs are within budget
- Ability to ensure that plant start-ups and shutdowns are done safely and properly
- Ability to effect good HR processes to ensure that people are disciplined, motivated, developed and properly managed to ensure effective team performance Government Certificate of Competence would be an advantage

Minimum requirements:
- BSc Engineering or equivalent tertiary education

- Knowledge of the OH & S Act and NOSA standards
- Ability to ensure that principles of VPO are implemented within brewing department

Job Purpose
The Key Purpose of this role is to address the acquisition of technical skills and experience for graduates as well as familiarize them with the company culture and principles in an 18-month structured programme. The rigor of the programme should ensure that an individual that has completed the programme can be allocated an area of responsibility immediately.

- The Traineeship is primarily a hands-on, self-study program where the Trainee is expected to gain a full understanding of the theory, principles and operation of equipment across the various department
