ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE MANAGER

(Suncoast Casino)

Our successful Assistant Maintenance Managers…
·
Assist the Maintenance Manager in managing all precinct repairs & maintenance functions,
which include plant and equipment such as; – prime power generators, – 11kV reticulation,
switchgear and ancillary equipment, – HVAC, – BEMS, – refrigeration, – kitchen equipment, –
wet services, – Fire & Life Safety Systems, and the like
·
Conduct and manage the effective and timeous repair, maintenance and the installation of
plant and equipment strictly in accordance with Tsogo Sun Policies and Procedures
·
Constantly monitor the operation of all plant & equipment to maximize performance and
efficiency
·
Effectively manage and control spare parts, stock and machinery
· Must be able to attend breakdowns on critical equipment 24/7, to quickly analyze and
solve problems to minimize downtime resulting in the loss of revenue
·
Investigate and keep up to date with new products and technology
·
Ensure employees, buildings and equipment meet the relevant safety requirements in
terms of the OHS Act and any other relevant regulations
·
Efficiently manage and control budgets, keep accurate and up-to-date maintenance
records, build and lead a competent and motivated team
· Manage specialist contractors to effectively coordinate and execute planned preventative
maintenance on plant & equipment
·
Plan and execute Slots/Tables moves as and when required.
· Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards consistently and
accurately

If you have these qualifications, join our team: Matric, Relevant Qualification, at least 5 years’
experience as a Qualified Electrician. Proven experience of at least 5 years in commercial building
maintenance & facilities management. Wireman’s license is advantageous. Strong technical
background with experience in most aspects of the repairs & maintenance fields associated with
the hospitality industry, and a proven customer service approach.

statements, reports, audit requirements and policies and procedures.

ensure sound knowledge of ORMS

are responsible for the successful application of all matters related to human resources
·
develop and oversee the implementation of effective sales and marketing strategies
·
build short and long term strategies – and the associated action plans – that deliver on
the hotel’s mission, vision and value
·
ensure the optimal functioning of all operational areas through daily monitoring and
effective communication with heads of department
·
ensure the guest experience complies with the hotel’s brand promise and target service
levels
·
build competent and motivated staff across all departments through confident and
caring leadership
·
work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards
·
work with and collaborate with all gaming departments

Minimum requirement: Qualification in Hospitality Management. A proven track record in
efficient and effective management of operations and employees through subordinate
managers and supervisors and currently hold a Deputy Hotel Manager or Hotel Manager
position.
