Job Purpose

To maintain and repair Tshwane Bus Services buses, vehicles and
equipment

Application Requirements:

Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
Relevant experience in mechanical or auto-electrical repairs in a
bus workshop environment
Physical fitness and health

Personal Attributes/ Competencies:

Analytical thinking skills; communication skills; problem-solving
skills; ability to work as part of a team; ability to work under
pressure; flexibility

Primary Fuctions : Remove and mount all unit components, such as water pumps,
cooling systems and other loose units, on buses and vehicles
(heavy and light vehicles)
Dismantle and mount components, such as engines, gearboxes,
steering boxes and differentials, on buses and vehicles
Diagnose and repair faults on buses and vehicles with the help of
the job card
Conduct preventative maintenance (service and grease individual
parts)
Conduct house keeping
