Requirements
- Relevant B degree in the build environment (BEng Electrical,
BEng Instrumentation, BEng Mechanical, BEng Civil,
BEng Mechatronics) - Must be registered with, or eligible for registration with ECSA
or SACPCMP - A minimum 5 years relevant post graduate experience in the
Electrical Engineering Industry with a focus on Project and
Contract Management - Driver’s license : Code B
- Detailed knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations.
- High degree of computer literacy.
- User experience in Organisational Enterprise Resource
Planning software (e.g SAP).
Key Performance Areas
- Apply a body of professional knowledge coupled with
experience to develop and implement a full range of
programmes, systems, policies, practices, and procedures
in relation to the professional discipline within the Transmission
System Development Section, to ensure effective control of
tender, contract and project documentation and management. - Assist the Head: TSD with monitoring and ensuring legal
compliance to minimize financial risk and implementation of
corrective measures to rectify deviations / acts contrary to
financial regulations, audit requirements and
departmental procedures - Monitor and direct procurement and project activities throughout
the lifecycle of the project or programme to ensure compliance
with governance, policies, legal requirements and sound
financial management. - Manages approved projects and associated contracts for
extensions to and replacement of equipment on the high
voltage system - Co-ordinate, facilitate and participate in meetings and work
groups, or prepare written communication to give/receive
information on projects, programmes, tenders, contracts,
policies, procedures, guideline and systems. - Compiling and managing documentation of a complex and involved nature to facilitate the functioning of the
