FLOOR MANAGER – RETAIL BRITS

Purpose of the position:
This individual will be responsible for managing the operational requirements
regarding inventory control in the agricultural department.

The responsibilities of the position will include the following:

  • Inventory control which includes orders, receipts, shipments, transfers, price
    marking and inventory counting;
  • Customer service, which may include compiling quotes, special orders,
    handling product enquiries, assisting with credit arrangements and giving
    personal attention to customers to meet their needs;
  • Liaising with product managers and representatives;
  • Assisting with the layout of the store / warehouse / department;
  • Personnel management.

Minimum requirements:

  • The suitable candidate must be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate

PROGRAMMER

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Purpose of the position:
The incumbent will be responsible for the development and maintenance of programmes and systems for
NWK under the guidance of a project leader. The development and maintenance of the system and
programmes will be done in a team consisting of other programmers.

Duties of the position:

  • Creating and developing a graphical interface in collaboration with PHP or natural programmers for the NWK
    operating system (no knowledge of system is required);
  • Developing PHP on the Laravel framework;
  • Writing of web-based programmes;
  • Thorough testing of developed systems; as well as
  • Implementation of systems and providing the necessary training to users

Minimum requirements:

  • Two (2) years’ experience in PHP programming
  • Knowledge and experience in PHP; MySQL; HTML5 / CSS; Laravel; Javascript; jQuery and JSON-RPC
  • A Gr 12 certificate
  • Persons with a relevant degree or diploma will be given preference.

SOIL SCIENTIST – LICHTENBURG

Purpose of position:
The incumbent will be responsible for expert services, which include precision farming services,
resource surveys and land surveying.

The responsibilities of the position will include the following:

  • One-on-one marketing of agricultural services to producers at farm level;
  • Carrying out detailed land surveys according to the Soil Classification System of South Africa
    and preparing land survey reports;
  • Providing chemical precision farming services – taking soil samples, interpreting, analyses and
    writing reports, writing out maps for differential chemical corrections and differential
    fertilisation, as well as mapping out management zones;
  • Delivering diverse agricultural advice to producers;
  • Performing soil compaction investigations and making tillage recommendations;
  • Performing soil moisture measurements and compiling reports on them
  • Writing agricultural articles; and
  • Presenting lectures on farmers’ days and other gatherings.

Minimum requirements:

  • An appropriate B degree in agriculture with Soil Science and Agronomy as main subjects;
  • The ability to apply agricultural sciences in practice;
  • Experience of precision farming techniques and packages will serve as a recommendation;
  • Be fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English);
  • The ability to perform physically challenging soil science functions on farms
  • Physical ability to execute required duties;

cashbooks and cashiers, further to ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of
accounting processes within the department. This role includes driving performance, enhancing systems and capacity, and
maintaining strong internal controls. Additionally, the chief accountant plays a key role in evaluating creditor performance and
ensuring compliance with SARS and other regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities:

Creditors responsibilities:

  • Oversee creditor performance, ensuring timely, high-quality service. Evaluate new creditors, conduct partner vetting, and
    assess risks for informed supplier partnerships.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, enhancing system capacity and accuracy to handle increasing transaction volumes
    with innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, particularly SARS regulations, with diligent documentation and
