Job SummaryThe Regulatory Reporting Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of all regulatory reporting submissions for Absa Bank Botswana. The role entails overseeing the preparation and submission of reports to regulatory authorities, maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and implementing best practice for risk management and compliance.

Main accountabilities
- Ensure all regulatory reporting is accurate, complete and submitted within deadlines.
- Stay updated
- Stay updated with regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the bank’s reporting processes.
- Collect, validate, and analyze financial data from various departments to ensure accurate regulatory reporting.
- Implement and maintain robust data management systems to support regulatory reporting requirements.
- Prepare and review regulatory reports, including capital adequacy, liquidity coverage, and leverage ratio reports.
- Ensure reports comply with local and international regulatory standards (e.g., Basel III, IFRS, Bank of Botswana).
- Identify and assess potential risks related to regulatory reporting.
- Develop and implement controls to mitigate identified risks and ensure data integrity.
- Work closely with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Risk, Compliance) to gather necessary data and ensure accurate reporting.
- Communicate effectively with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Continuously review and enhance regulatory reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and industry standards to streamline reporting workflows.

Education and experience required
Experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5-10 years of expertise, possessing a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, including Basel II and Basel III. Knowledge of South African Regulatory reporting requirements will be an added advantage.

- Providing financial insights on Group-wide incentives to key management committees including but not limited to Group Exco and the Group RemCo in support of appropriate and effective decision-making.
- Developing and running financial models in support of both short term and long term incentive decisions for the organisation.
- Sharing of technical knowledge within Human Capital Control and the broader Finance team both central and in-business.
- Ensuring that established controls are adhered to, to address applicable risks and enable accurate accounting and reporting of Group-wide share-based payments and headcount, both internally and externally to the market.
- Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the forecasting and budgeting for Group-wide share based payments and other incentive costs.
