Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years ‘relevant experience of which 2 years in a lower management within the Supply
    Chain Management environment.

Primary Function:
Oversee the day-to-day procurement of works goods and services through the relevant
procurement mechanisms as cut lined in the City’s SCM Policy and to provide guidance
matters in line with the City’s Procurement Plan

Key Performance Areas:

  • Oversee the day-to-day demand management activities relating to procurement of works
    good and services.
  • Provide demand management supervision.
  • Provide input into the strategic plan and development of the section.
  • Build and maintain strong relations with internal and external business units’ entities, key
    stakeholders and peers to ensure the correct focus and support.
  • To efficiently and effectively manage the operational asset and resources of the section
    cost effectively in accordance with the legislative framework of the City’s policies and
    procedures.
  • To maximize the productivity of subsection optimizing the effectiveness of its employees in
    order o enable achievement of objectives of the subsection and manage the human
    resources thereof.
  • Manage all aspect of the finance in the control of demand planning and consolidation
    subsection, including but not limited to, revenue, expenditure, assets and liabilities, in
    accordance with the legislative framework as well as the City’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide quality reports on the functions and performance of the subsection which are
    factual accurate and complete, timely contribute to and support the overall reporting
    requirement.
