The Driver: Crane is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the 75-ton crane. - Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, environmental, regulatory and related standards,
regulations, and instructions, relevant Codes of Practice and the escalation process where deviations and noncompliance are observed - Ensure the establishment of safe, efficient and proper operation/use of all machinery, equipment and

over their operational teams in respect of safety management, shift planning, work assignment and direction,
planned task observations, etc. - In conjunction with the FLL, coordinate and advise on optimal team assignment relative to planned operational,
production and related work cycles to ensure optimal safe and effective task delivery - In conjunction with the FLL, coordinate and advise on operational logistics including stores, materials handling,
equipment maintenance preparation and servicing to ensure end to end task planning, elimination of delays,
etc. - Participate in and contribute toward the development, adjustment and execution of operational plans and
schedules - Participate in collaborative cross-functional team activities to share best practice, drive technical excellence
and enhance sustainable commercial decision making - Investigate and analyse operational delivery effectiveness with a view to recommending and developing
collaborative and innovative solutions to optimise the interfaces between teams, processes and systems - Manage relationships with key internal, Business Partner and external stakeholders by ensuring broad
accountability is maintained against operational delivery, service level, commercial, community and ethical
standards and, resolve issues and/or escalating issues in a timely manner - Ensuring that all relevant production targets are met continuously
- Ensuring control of explosives and that planning and budget is controlled and applied correctly.

Trackless Crew Leader (Miner)
POSITION: Trackless Crew Leader (Miner)
JOB GRADING: C2
DEPARTMENT: Mining
SITE: South Deep Gold Mine
The Trackless Crew Leader is accountable for executing the safe and efficient delivery of assigned monthly
production plan, leading operational teams to achieve prescribed safely goals and ensuring quality delivery according
to operational standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Recognized Blasting Certificate
- At least 5 years’ production experience in a deep level trackless mine with relevant TM3
equipment/machinery certificates - Sound working knowledge of relevant Mine Health & Safety legislation
- Secure full Gold Fields Security and Related Occupational Screening
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical
examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test,
and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

- Advanced safety leadership capability with proven safety campaign delivery record
- Accomplished team and people leader
- Strong inter and intra-team collaboration skills
- Advanced practical mining experience with sound appreciation for full mining operational value chain
