ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Supervisor: Transport and Courier Services, this role plays a critical role in transporting goods and employees to
designated locations safely and on time. Plan and follow the best route to ensure timely delivery of goods and employees. Ensure that all
necessary paperwork and documentation are in order before transporting goods and employees.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
■ Senior Certificate
■ A Valid Code 10 drivers’ licence and PDP will be added advantage

KEY PORTFOLIO AND PERFORMANCE FOCUS AREAS
■ Transporting Goods: Delivering packages, documents, and supplies between company locations. Picking up and dropping off suppliers
from vendors and suppliers.
■ Employee Transportation: Driving employees to and from meetings, conferences, and events. Providing shuttle services for staff between
company facilities.
■ Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness. Scheduling and coordinating regular maintenance
and repairs. Keeping the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
■Logistical Support: Assisting with loading and unloading goods. Managing and organizing delivery schedules and routes. – Keeping
accurate records of deliveries and trips.
■ Compliance and Safety: Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Ensuring the safety of passengers, goods, and vehicles.
Completing required paperwork and logs in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
■ Communication: Coordinating with the dispatch team and other departments for efficient scheduling. Reporting any incidents, accidents,
or delays promptly to supervisors
■ Customer Service: Interacting professionally and courteously with clients and staff. Addressing any customer or staff inquiries related to
transportation services
■ Emergency Response: Being available for on-call duties as required
■ Inventorying and Stocking: Keeping track of inventory being transported. Ensuring that the correct items are delivered and picked up
■ Route Planning: Planning optimal and efficient routes for delivering or transporting goods and personnel. Using GPS and other navigation
tools to avoid traffic and ensure timely arrivals.

Finance Officer: Accounts Receivable

Cluster: Finance and SCM

ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Senior Manager: Revenue Financial Management, the incumbent will be required to ensure that revenue due to SALGA
is accurate, complete, authorised, allocated correctly. Membership levies, Government Grant Income, Donor funds, conference registration
fees, exhibition fees, conditional grants, capacity building and other revenue streams. Preparation of Journals, GL monthly recons, monthly
project reports for the entire organisation and external users. Implement and ensure adherence to internal control procedures. Comply with
all legislative and regulatory requirements. Generate management reports for dissemination to relevant stakeholders. Assist SALGA in debt
collection initiatives through provincial offices and national initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
▪ Relevant Degree in Accounting or equivalent
▪ Valid Driver’s License
▪ A Valid Code 08 drivers’ license
▪ A minimum of 3 years working experience in finance environment
▪ Knowledge of management Information Systems
KEY PORTFOLIO AND PERFORMANCE FOCUS AREAS
▪ Accounts Receivable: Capturing customer invoices on SAP system and prepare invoice input forms. Check that all transactions are
in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (PFMA, treasury regulations, SALGA policies)
▪ Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports before due date. Prepare Customers Accounts reconciliation; Ensure
that Customer payments allocated to the correct Customer. Prepare and process journals. Prepare general ledger (GL) accounts
reconciliation. Prepare and process credit notes, where applicable; Handle project accounting and prepare project reports; Ensure
completeness of revenue due to SALGA. Submit all requested documents to auditors. Travel to SALGA events & work at the finance
registration desk. Proper electronic record keeping of all source documents. Maintain a contract register of all project agreements.
Maintain an accurate summary spreadsheet for all revenue streams.
▪ Collect SALGA revenue from debtors. Send statements, telephone calls, write dunning letters, emails. Ensure adherence to all the
organisation’s policies and procedures
