MANAGER: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER’S OFFICE (PERMANENT)

Broadband Infraco, is a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will:

  • Liaise closely with Performance Information unit to co-ordinate the company’s annual strategic planning, ensuring that the CEO is prepared with the necessary documents, background information, and logistical arrangements.
  • Track and report progress on the annual strategic planning process until the approval by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic and efficient administrative support for all strategic documents.
  • Prepare presentations on behalf of the CEO for the attention of the Board, DCDT, Parliament, relevant committees and other platforms requiring the CEO’s participation.
  • Support the CEO’s Personal Assistant in driving engagements, project operations, and follow-ups
  • Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere within the CEO’s office, extending this culture throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure the CEO’s office remains accessible and supportive, modeling a healthy and conducive workplace for the broader organisation.
  • Ensure that the CEO’s office complies with governance frameworks and practices, the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI), and other relevant strategic documents and regulations.
  • Draft and prepare reports on behalf of the CEO, for Board meetings and committees, ensuring the CEO has accurate, concise, and complete information for strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse and draft high-quality reports on behalf of the CEO, for the attention of the Board, its committees, DCDT, and other stakeholders ensuring they are aligned with the company’s strategic priorities and governance requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the CEO’s office and key government entities, including DCDT, Parliament, and Portfolio Committees, ensuring clear and efficient communication.
  • Ensure all CEO office communications and activities comply with public sector regulations, governance frameworks, and reporting structures.
  • Design and implement efficient administrative systems to streamline operations and eliminate delays.
  • Develop and manage the CEO’s budget effectively, including overseeing outsourced and contracted services.
  • Ensure effective communication between the CEO and senior management, enabling informed decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Technology/ Science/ Engineering, Business, or a related field at NQF Level 7.
  • A postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
  • 5-10 years of experience in ICT, with management experience.
  • Experience in corporate governance, state-owned company operations, government regulations, and a strong understanding of government protocol and stakeholder relations.
  • Public Finance Management Act Knowledge and Telecommunications/Information Communications Technology sector experience.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Manager: Finance, the incumbent will:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the company’s financial reporting process according to approved policies and accounting standards.
  • Perform budget analysis on a monthly basis, and review of expenditure allocations to correct business units.
  • Ensure that monthly accounts reconciliations between the general ledger and subledger or sub systems are prepared and approved.
  • Performs monthly general ledger review and reallocations.
  • Submit the monthly reconciliation file for approval on a monthly basis.
  • Management of the procure to pay process.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements and supporting documents in this regard.
  • Manage the integrity of the accounting data at all times.
  • Obtain invoices in respect of fruitless and wasteful expenditure, prepare report with details and submit to manager for submission to Executive Committee.
  • Prepare report on invoices not paid within 30 days in respect of PFMA compliance.
  • Interprets the requirements of the PFMA and provides advice on existing financial policies.
  • Attend to queries and requests from internal and external auditors and provision of information as requested.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree plus a Postgraduate or equivalent qualification in Commerce.
  • Completion of articles.
  • 5 years’ experience in total with at least 2 years supervisory experience working in a finance environment.
  • General accounting experience of at least 2 – 3 years and articles.
  • Microsoft Office Suite at an advanced level with good knowledge of Excel.

PRICING SPECIALIST

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, the incumbent will:

  • Develop the pricing strategy on new products, services and markets.
  • Research product services market relevance and perform analysis of the results and report.
  • Perform a cost analysis versus pricing margins, discuss and obtain approval from the CFO.
  • Provide key Accounts Manager with adequate pricing model on meeting customer specific solutions.
  • Drive the approved commercial model for projects and new market products and services.
  • Develop and obtain Executive Committee approval of the competitive and market relevant standard pricing models and equip sales team to market.
  • Facilitate pricing proposals and obtain approval from the pricing committee during company tender and projects.
  • Conduct negotiations with customers on pricing where required.
  • Manage pricing audit findings in collaboration with the finance, sales and marketing teams.
  • Develop pricing strategies that maximises company profits.
  • Manage the pricing policy and ensure its implementation and regular reviews.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual pricing report, not limited to proposals, break even points, customer profitability and market trends, etc.
  • Execute other functions pertaining to this role and contained in the job profiles.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Honours degree in Mathematics Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as Pricing Analyst or comparative experience / environment.
  • Minimum 3 years’ working experience in telecommunications environment.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in developing and defining pricing structures.
  • CIMA professional registration is an advantage.
  • The candidate should have an approachable orientation when performing their duties.
  • The candidate is expected to be knowledgeable on market research and statistical analysis and pay attention to detail.
