Job Purpose
To manage the Social Housing Department.
Key Responsibility Areas
Facilitates social housing delivery in the area of our jurisdiction.
Facilitates linkages with the relevant stakeholders.
Represents the Council on the Board of Directors for Independent Housing Institutions.
Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performance of Housing Institutions or Section 21 companies.
Manages risk, budgets, cash flows and resources of projects.
Responsible for identifying problems or difficulties that housing associations and Council service providers are experiencing.
Investigates other forms of legal entities and tenure that could be implemented.
Responsible for policy formulation for housing development in the Unicity area.
Responds creatively to ad hoc requests that enhance the growth of Social Housing Sector
Responsible for promoting social housing at Unicity wide level.
Responsible for facilitating the development of holistic communities.
Reports to Deputy Head (Formal Housing) on existing and planned projects.
Responsible for managing subordinates.
Provides expert advise on technical organisational, legal and financial matters.

Post graduate degree (NQF Level 8) in Commercial studies or equivalent.
6 Years relevant experience.
