SHEQ Graduate Trainee
Introduction
Why not join the AMSOL team? We’re looking for a Graduate Trainee who is looking for the opportunity to gain practical work experience in all aspects of operational SHEQ & Compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Participate in developmental activities which will initially focus on acquiring basic knowledge while
working under supervision and will progress to working unsupervised, with broadening scope of knowledge.
ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management System administration, reporting and support.
Group Management System and general SHEQ administration, reporting and support.
Assist with audits, inspections, investigations and meetings.
Assist with Contractor / Supplier assessments.
Complete projects which will assist with development of SHEQ and other work-related skills, knowledge and competence.
Facilitate training / workshops for employees and contractors.
Assist with checking OHS Act & regulation adherence and other SHEQ related legislation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Submit a motivation letter outlining why you will be the ideal candidate for this position.
Submit a CV with details of qualification(s), including year obtained.
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Diploma, Degree or BTECH in Maritime Studies or SHEQ related field.
Knowledge of OHS Act and regulations.
Be a South African citizen with a valid drivers license.
Be responsible and willing to participate as a member of the team.
Have high energy levels,
Be flexible, willing to travel, and have an unwavering commitment to learning and development

Marine Operations Officer
Introduction
We’re looking for a Marine Operations Officer who has the skills, competence and experience required to strengthen our value proposition, and who is looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic organisation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in securing spot work in line with the department’s growth strategy.
Engage and build relationships with relevant stakeholders, internationally and locally e.g. SAMSA in the event of emergency responses
Collate required information for tenders.
Liaise with finance on invoicing
Monitor compliance relating to Contracts
Draft required client reports and documentation as per Service Level Agreement
Desired Experience & Qualification
Has a National Diploma in either Commercial / Business Administration / Maritime related field
Has 3 years experience in a commercial or related field.
Is self confident and able to think on their feet in a fast paced, hands-on, change and growth-oriented work environment.
Is able to deliver results and meet client expectations.
Able to understand and practically apply commercial and financial principles / guidelines
Able to work under pressure and independently within a larger team and must be able to demonstrate proactiveness and assertiveness.
Has strong SHE-Q awareness and understanding of compliance.
