Role Purpose

Role Description

Technical Product Owner

Role Purpose

The Product Owner II is a member of the agile team, responsible for defining user stories and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team. The role owns products of varying complexities, engaging, and collaborating with product management to execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

Role Description

• Provide input into the refinement of the program backlog, ensuring the team is familiar with the features being brought into PI planning and keeping program management informed of progress in achieving team PI objectives.

• Continuously refine and sequence the product backlog:

o Provide clear direction to the team

o Gather the requirements for the product and capture them in the form of a product backlog, consisting of user stories with acceptance criteria.

o Ensure all user stories are written and that each user story has acceptance criteria.

o Sequence team backlog – Must prioritise work for teams’ main stakeholders with demands for change from other stakeholders.

Rainmaker: ePOS Campaign Manager

Role Purpose

A new and pioneering division within Shoprite is looking to appoint a campaign management subject matter expert in the ePOS space to lead all campaign management activities in accordance with the strategic intent and trade plans. Researching, proposing and directing all point-of-sale related campaigns and managing across multiple accounts, providing guidance and input to other team members as well as integrating the ideas and requirements of multiple cross functional stakeholders. Role Description

• Establishes campaign management best practices, frameworks, practices and guidelines.

The Product Owner III is a member of the agile team, responsible for defining user stories and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team. Role Description

Technical Specialist: Systems Engineer I

Role Purpose

This role provides essential support and technical assistance to help maintain the functionality and reliability of hardware and systems software. This role involves aiding in the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of various technologies. This role collaborates with senior team members to diagnose issues, perform repairs, upgrade systems, and maintain both externally and internally sourced hardware and software solutions, such as operating systems, data management products, office automation tools, embedded systems, and other utility software. This role plays an important part in improving system performance and supporting the overall technology infrastructure of the organisation.

Role Description

• Adhere to Service Level requirements while installing, maintaining, and supporting the organisation’s systems hardware, software, and peripherals.

• Align to organisational processes, policies, and procedures to deliver timely, high-quality secondlevel support services.

• Provide status reporting and issue management to ensure transparency and accountability across the support function.

• Conduct analysis to design networks that optimise the workflow of business applications effectively.

• Manage risks related to network and communication operations, ensuring operational integrity and reliability.

• Ensure continuity across integration projects through strict standards enforcement.

• Align technology solutions with business strategies to support overall organisational goals.

• Document and maintain network, hardware, and system software support policies and procedures, ensuring all daily activities, tasks, and system status information are readily available for standard reporting processes.

• Initiate any actions required to maintain or improve service levels within the organisation.

• Advise on the communications requirements of installed and planned networked information systems, including security features and performance targets.

• Investigate and analyse serious faults, implementing solutions to rectify issues.

• Apply analytical ability to examine technical data, determining effective solutions for complex system requirements.

• Execute control and management of system hardware and software configurations, including the installation and upgrading of servers and application tools while ensuring version control procedures are observed.

• Utilise supplier and user documentation to maintain accurate system configurations and user resources.

• Escalate issues when necessary to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

• Support and manage vendors to maintain cutting-edge knowledge of emerging technologies and enhance the organisation’s image as a leader in technological innovation.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems – (essential)

• +2 Years experience in IT network / system engineering

• Has good knowledge of the ICT products and services to be supported.

• Has wide and detailed knowledge of ICT.

• Demonstrates good communication skills with an aptitude for dealing with users, colleagues and suppliers, and takes an analytical approach to problem solving.

• Has good knowledge and understanding of ICT concepts and practice, coupled with practical knowledge of problem management and the principles and processes of implementing and delivering ICT services.

Customer Service Centre Agent

Role Purpose

The purpose of the Customer Service Centre Agent role is to support all inbound and outbound customer interactions for all supported contact centre channels in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner. To promote a positive image of the company through telephonic and email interaction whilst solving problems.

Role Description

  • Support customer interactions across various channels (including voice, email, chat, social media,)
  • Answer and resolve customer interactions timeously to drive a First Contact Resolution (FCR) culture, by being knowledgeable and able to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Remain knowledgeable of performance requirements, brands, products, programmes and process documentation
  • Ensure necessary systems are updated accordingly
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information to customers
  • Ensure all Service Level Agreements are adhered to and strive to meet set KPI targets
  • Take the necessary steps to drive up customer retention
  • Ensure all set Shoprite standards, policies and procedures are followed
  • Proactively seek ways to continuously improve the customer experience
  • Identify and escalate potential system and process improvements with the aim to enhance the customer’s journey.
  • Escalate complaints

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 / Matric – essential
  • +3 years in a Customer Service environment in a similar role in a similar role, with the ability, knowledge and skills in providing excellent customer service support – (essential).
  • Proficient in Microsoft O365 with a focus on applicable tools to execute areas of function – (essential).
