On a typical day, a Support Engineer will be primarily responsible for solving customer’s cases through a variety of customer contact channels which include telephone, email, and video and web/live chat. You will apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions for our customers and drive customer interactions by thoughtfully working with customers to dive deep into the root cause of an issue.
Apart from working on a broad spectrum of technical issues, an AWS Support Engineer may also coach/mentor new hires, develop & present training, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives, participate in new hiring, write tools/script to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– – Bachelor’s degree in Information Science/Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field OR equivalent experience in a technical position

We are looking to hire a Network Technician to join our growing team within the Infrastructure Delivery team. The position responsibilities involve delivering the hardware, configuration and fiber connectivity of interdependent scaling projects across several data center locations. The Network Technician will work closely with both internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution in association with Technical Program Managers.
Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and has significant experience in supporting large scale, enterprise class networks. They will be highly competent in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software and fiber connectivity, all combined with a proven project delivery methodology. This position will work with minimum supervision to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and to assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network as we expand.
Network Technicians are expected to work with established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tooling and constantly think proactively and innovatively. The desire and ability to work in an ambiguous, collaborative environment is essential for success
Key job responsibilities
The Network Technician works closely with their teammates and Technical Project Managers to deliver scaling projects following and being active part for both the Cabling Installation and the Deployment phase, respecting deadlines and Team service level agreements (SLA’s).

The Cloud Support Engineer – Containers role supports services that focus on Containerization including Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Elastic Container Service (ECS), Elastic Container Registry (ECR), Fargate, App Mesh, Batch. In this role, engineers interact with customers that reach out to AWS via email, chat or phone, helping our customers automate the management, scaling and deployment of containerized applications. Apart from working on a broad spectrum of technical issues, a Cloud Engineer in AWS may also coach/mentor new hires, develop & present training, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact-deflection initiatives, participate in hiring, write tools and script to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvements and strategic initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 1+ years of software development experience
– 2+ years of technical support experince with troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
– Experience working with any of the container orchestration management tools such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm. Basic understanding of Container networking

– 3+ years of engineering team management experience and 7+ years of engineering experience
– 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience

AWS Trust & Safety (T&S) is a global team that helps protect against abusive use of AWS services while simultaneously working to build trust with AWS’s customers, partners, and other stakeholders. T&S engages with a variety of stakeholders to understand cloud infrastructure-related trust and safety issues, develop fit-for-purpose frameworks to assess and minimize risks for AWS’s customers, and develop guidelines and processes for responding to trust and safety issues. Our team members display a solid understanding of AWS’s cloud infrastructure, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to exercise sound judgment on complex and time-sensitive matters.
The team is key in maintaining the reputation of AWS’s IP space. The team vets potential abuse issues and contacts AWS customers in order to put a stop to these harmful acts. Abuse Investigation & Prevention acts as the first line of defense for AWS by analyzing trends and reporting findings to AWS service teams as needed. The team devotes their time and attention to helping identify impactful customer scenarios such as these. They classify incoming reports of abuse while exercising sound judgment in the decisions they make. Team members display strong technical skills while providing complex AWS account support to our customers and other AWS teams. Key job responsibilities

• Own escalated AWS customer issues
• Quickly assess customer issues in order to provide accurate support
• Act as a high-judgement decision maker for escalated situations where there may be no established SOP

• Assume responsibility for developing detailed knowledge about AWS specific services and then using that knowledge to identify training gaps
• Investigate the details of abuse reports and develop processes and responses to help resolve the issue

• Act as the Voice of the Customer by reporting and acting on observed areas for improvement while actively seeking solutions to customer needs, communicating trends to leadership, and suggesting innovative solutions on behalf of the customer experience
• Assist with customer communications and support during AWS critical events
• Manage queues effectively by working and moving cases/tickets to relevant departments and providing required follow-up
• Maintain acceptable performance metrics such as quality, productivity, first contact resolution, and attendance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years experience in a Trust and Safety or similar environment working with issues related to online abuse AND a High School Diploma is a minimum requirement
