Reporting to the Marketplace Sales Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive performance within a sales team to deliver against acquisition targets
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to build and execute on a strategic acquisition roadmap for each category
  • Ensure sales processes are followed by the sales team and that sales platform data is accurate and complete
  • Identify shortfalls in the sales process and help improve efficiency
  • Manage and build sales dashboards to track key productivity metrics
  • Drive commercial performance of a business unit against business targets
  • Identify and drive key interventions within the seller base to correct under-performance
  • Develop and drive growth plans for strategic sellers
  • Manage and support a team of Sales & Account Managers with day-to-day operations
  • Work with the Marketplace Sales Manager to set monthly goals for the sales team which are aligned to the business targets
  • Manage the collaboration between the Sales & Account Managers, Catalogue Operations, Recruiting and onboarding of new Sales & Account Managers
  • Train new Sales & Account Managers

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree or relevant other tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 5 years work experience within a Sales Environment
  • Minimum 3 years Management Experience
  • Experience managing a sales team
  • Experience in establishing and managing processes and projects
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • eCommerce experience is preferred but not required

Outbound Manager

The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative support to our Springbok branch. This role is responsible for handling all essential administrative tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient branch operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily activities, maintaining accurate records, coordinating office functions, and assisting the team to meet objectives.

The position reports to: GM Operations.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Overall management and coordination of all warehousing function in the Outbound area.
  • Outbound operations will include Inventory management, picking, packing, staging and handover/dispatching of stock.
  • Ensuring returned damaged stock is processed and ready for collection on time and in full
  • Introduce and maintain daily productivity metrics to ensure that staff structures are running efficiently
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate outbound activities and ensure timely delivery of goods to customers. 
  • Process and operational improvements within the return to supplier function
  • Strategic reviews of departmental KPIs and SLAs
  • Daily, weekly & monthly commercial reporting management
  • Liaise with and work with other departments.
  • Optimizing all workflow activities within the different stakeholders and departments.
  • Collaborate with line managers to identify staff training and development needs for improved performance.
  • Demonstrate, train, and enforce Operational “Best Practices”
  • Assist in the coaching of staff towards meeting and exceeding performance expectations for quantity, quality, timeliness, and efficiency
  • Identify areas that need the most improvement and report to GM Operations for quality and performance enhancement.
  • Manage performance with all staff within the department 
  • Train and support the understanding of operational KPIs
  • Work on ad hoc projects and events.
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Collaborate with project and operations managers

Qualifications and attributes: 

  • Tertiary qualification / Diploma preferred in Logistics/Operations Management/ Supply Chain Management / Engineering or Business/Commerce Preferred
  • 3 – 5 years field experience in operations
  • Experience in the management of stock
  • Strong People management
  • Full understanding of a WMS, application, troubleshooting, and reporting dashboards
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in management role in operations
