Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, BCom Supply Chain/Logistics, Computer Science, Science or similar degree & 3+ years’ experience in a Data, Engineering role within a fast-paced, product-led, and growth-focused organization, playing a key role in data gathering, data analysis and helping the team make data-based decisions.

- That all relevant documentation regarding safety have been signed off by all the relevant employees

Risk Management & Mitigation

This position reports to the Risk and Security Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and discrepancies to identify potential shrinkage issues.
- Implement control measures to reduce losses due to theft, misplacement, or inaccuracies.
- Loss Prevention: Develop and implement loss prevention strategies and policies to mitigate theft, pilferage, and unauthorized access.
- Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and access control systems, to deter and detect suspicious activities.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential operational risks that could lead to losses. Training and Education:
- Provide training to DC staff on loss prevention strategies. Raise awareness about security and safety best practices, encouraging a culture of vigilance and responsibility.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review loss prevention and safety protocols, recommending enhancements to keep up with evolving risks.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in loss control.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations into loss incidents, compiling evidence and conducting interviews as necessary.
- Escalate all findings to the Risk Manager for final guidance and action.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all loss prevention activities, incidents, and preventive measures taken. Ensure proper documentation for legal and compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diplomas
- 3-5 year’s relevant experience

Operations Manager – TCS

This role reports to the DC General Manager.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Overall management and coordination of all DC activities in Johannesburg (Dispatch Department, Inbound and Outbound Department) so that orders are shipped on schedule and product is within quality standards and cost objectives
- Ensuring DC adheres to company policy and administer practices in a fair and equitable manner.
- Managing budget and controlling expenses
- Recommending policies and programs, which guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation
- Drives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives and process change initiatives to enable the DC to meet and exceed business objectives
- Ensures standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production
- Keep up to date on information and technology affecting distribution operations to increase innovation and ensure continual improvement throughout the DC
- Sets / clarifies requirements and expectations for DC Managers
- Measures performance, provides feedback, and hold DC Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments
- Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments & shifts
- Works closely with supporting functions (HR, Finance, IT and Supply Chain) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiative
Attributes required:

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics. MBA preferred.
- 5+ years Operations Management experience in logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment
- Strong people management experience, excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working with customers internally and externally
- Strong business judgement combined with quick decision making
- Willing to spend time within the operations to introduce LEAN principles to improve the shop floor management.
- Be resourceful, able to manage ambiguity and prepared to get involved if needed
- Be competent in two or more production or supply chain areas, with an impressive track-record of achieving results in a similar fast-paced logistics, distribution, manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to manage change within a logistics operation
- Demonstrate a strong track record of problem solving and solid analytical skill to find the root cause and implement the necessary countermeasures.
- Extensive project management and change management experience
- Will commit and achieve targets and project timelines.
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends if necessary, in an operational 7/365 environment
- Self-starter with high energy levels a must
- Must be able to work as part of a multi-cultural team
