The Intern: Human Resources and Training will contribute towards the efficient co-ordination of administration and co-ordination of human resources and training related projects in the organisation. The Intern reports to the Senior Admin Officer: Human Resources and Training.

Key performance areas: A 24-month internship programme designed to provide recently qualified graduates with a unique opportunity to gain valuable skills in a supportive environment, learning on-the-job and work experience. 

Exposure and training will be provided in the following areas where assistance is required:

Key performance areas: The Intern duties will include the following: Assist in the implementation of human resources generalist practices and administrative duties, i.e. Employee Relations, Employee Wellness, Skills Development, Performance Management, and Recruitment and Selection (advertisements, appointments, transfer, verification of qualifications, secretarial functions at interviews, absorptions, probationary periods, etc.) Implement conditions of services (Leave, injury on duty, long service recognition, relocation, etc.). The Intern: Outreach will be exposed/trained or assist in the development and implementation of a Youth Democracy Plan (YDP), stakeholder management and liaison plans for the province.  He/she will assist in conducting research, and be involved in stakeholder management process of the organisation. §  Conceptualisation and development of the Youth Democracy strategy and plans.
