Credit Risk Analyst
We are currently seeking applications from dynamic individuals for the following position:

Purpose of the role:
To manage credit risk by way of identifying, quantifying, and reporting on various forms of credit
risk (e.g. pricing, volatility, and interest rate risk). To conduct ongoing research and
understanding of financial markets to understand trends and risks to ensure informed credit risk
recommendations. Prepare Credit reports, advising appropriate credit risk ratings, pricing,
exposure and making investment recommendations with respect to the individual transactions.
Requirements:
- B Com Degree (Finance/Accounting), BSc (Actuarial/Mathematics) or any related
Commercial degree - Postgraduate Finance or Investment-related Degree, CFA, FRM, CAIA (Highly
Advantageous) - Minimum 4 year’s relevant experience in due diligence assessments of credit risk in
Corporate Finance and Project Finance Deals. - Minimum 4 years credit risk experience in both unlisted and listed credit is highly
advantageous. - Knowledge of Credit Assessment Techniques for various asset classes
- Knowledge of Financial Modeling and Valuation techniques
- Knowledge of compliance requirements for investments in Asset Management
Duties:
- To provide expert advice on credit risk factors that may influence investment decisions
made on PIC portfolios for both listed and unlisted investments. - To participate in due diligence of investment considerations and to provide independent risk
assessment detailed reports, with recommendations to the various committees to inform
decision-making. - To assess investment considerations against both the client mandates and the PIC’s
internal investment-related and other applicable policies and processes, which assessment
will form part of the overall risk assessment to inform decision-making. - To conduct ongoing risk monitoring, at investment and portfolio level for reporting to PIC
Management, Client and Board (as required) - To participate in ad-hoc credit and investment risk-related projects and activities related to
improving ways of measuring, managing, reporting and/or minimizing risk while ensuring
maximized return on all PIC portfolios. - To participate in quarterly monitoring of investments (as required), including impairment
calculations. - To participate in ad-hoc requests from clients and/or PIC management to provide input into
the risks and opportunities for portfolio optimisation. - Contribute to the enhancement of credit risk and investment risk processes to enable
continued robustness of PIC’s risk management. - To conduct ongoing research and understanding of financial markets to understand trends
and risks to ensure informed credit risk recommendations.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications :

Duties:
- Evaluating financial data, examining an investee’s financial statements, and creating financial

performance. - Translate financial data into detailed presentations and easy-to-understand financial reports.
- Compile and consolidate portfolio reports and presentations to inform investment decisions.
- Development of financial models, including analysis of returns, sensitivities scenario analysis
etc. - Research and sectorial analysis to keep abreast with industry trends to identify growth
opportunities and areas of concern. - Assisting portfolio managers with their decision-making processes by providing strategic
recommendations and supporting data analysis. - Assist investment associates in complex portfolio actions to maximise the value of assets
under management (such as restructuring, follow-on investments, debt conversion,
rescheduling, amendments, and regular waivers). - Assist with collecting information and maintaining up-to-date documentation of all investment
relationships.

Assistant Company Secretary

Purpose of the role:
To actively assist the Company Secretary in delivering the Company Secretariat function with emphasis
on ensuring compliance in relation to issues of corporate governance, including responding to changes in

Requirements:

- Chartered or Company Secretarial or equivalent certification will be an advantage.

Duties:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements of the PFMA, Company’s Act, PIC Act,

- Drafting and reviewing of Committee Terms of Reference and Board Charter on an annual

Purpose of the role:

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- B Com (Honours) in Commerce or B.Sc (Honours) in Finance, Property Studies related

property or other investments - FAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment

Duties:
- Monitor and analyse financial and non-financial performance information of Property
Investments and their respective counterparties. - Develop monitoring plans and post-investment management strategy for all Unlisted
Property investments. - Develop an investment plan to be submitted together with the investment appraisal report.
- Monitor all investments (compliance and performance) in accordance with monitoring
processes, policies, guidelines, frameworks and practices. - Minimise impairments of investments through active monitoring of covenants and early
remedial actions. - Compile reports and present them to all Exco and Board sub-committees as well as Clients.
- Provide early warning signs to the Property Investments Team, Management and the
respective Committees. - Conduct investee companies and property site visits and maintain ongoing interactions with
