ENGINEERING WORKSHOP ASSISTANT (Automotive)

Requirements
- Matric qualification/NCV L4/N3 in automotive/mechanical field or equivalent
- Knowledge of mechanical/automotive equipment
- Good administrative skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer literacy
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Independent, innovative, professional, and enthusiastic individual

Responsibilities
- The responsibilities of the post are to assist the Workshop Lecturers with general workshop management.
- General support services (receiving, storing, issuing and inventory control of all consumables, equipment, gas cylinders and student PPE.)
- General preventative maintenance and repair of equipment and tools (calibration, record keeping and maintenance schedules)
- Assist lecturers with workshop management (all ERD, Occupational and Nated Programs)
- Maintain student safety at work (all ERD, Occupational and Nated programs)
- Cutting of steel on heavy-duty cutting machine
- General cleaning services within workshops

Recommendations
- TVET sector experience
- Occupational qualification in Automotive or Engineering filed
- Multilingualism will be an advantage

Requirements
- Recognized 3-year qualification (NQF level 6) in Information Technology or related qualification
- Three years relevant work experience in an IT environment
- High level of computer literacy (MS Package)
- Sound knowledge of computer hardware, software and programmes
- Knowledge and understanding of Corporate ICT principles
- Knowledge and understanding of the ICT policies and relevant legislation
- Experience with tender processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities
- Develop, review and monitor the implementation of Information Communication Technology (ICT) policies
- Information System Management
- Network Management and Maintenance
- ICT software and hardware Maintenance
- Provision of intranet and network services
- Management of all Human, Financial and other resources of the unit
- Manage the college ICT budget
- Special Technical skills
- Manage Hyper-V servers, manage all aspects of Office 365 including- Exchange online, Teams, Onedrive, Microsoft Active Directory including – GPO’s, DHCP DNS and Domain controller replication, management of VOIP system including all phones, management of all Wifi networks and management of mail gateway
- Liaise with all ICT vendors
- Manage Cyber security
- Report to counsel sub-committees
- Compile an ICT strategic plan

Recommendations
- Public Sector and/or Higher Education and/or TVET experience
- Multilingualism will be an advantage

Requirements
- Relevant three years post matric qualification (NQF 6) in Internal Audit/Accounting or equivalent qualification
- At least three years of relevant internal audit/auditing environment experience
- Experience in the development of policies/implementation strategies
- Knowledge of relevant prescripts, legislation and regulations
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
- High level of computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- A valid driver’s license

Responsibilities
- Develop, review and monitor the implementation of internal audit policies
- Planning, execution and reporting on audits
- Evaluate internal audit controls
- Coordinate internal audit committee meetings
- Review, collect information and compile reports to council subcommittee/ audit and risk committee on issues of internal audit
- Assist with external audit

Recommendations
- Member of the Institute for Internal Auditors South Africa
- Sound knowledge of Risk Management frameworks, concepts and processes
- Good understanding of governance, organizational culture, ethical concerns and internal control systems
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
- Knowledge of GRAP standards
- Good facilitation skills
- Ability to work in a team
- A relevant qualification in Risk Management will be an advantage
