SENIOR ARTISAN MECHANIC (2 X BREDASDORP)

The OVERBERG DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY has the following vacancies in the Directorate: Community Services, Department Roads Services, to be filled permanently as soon as possible:

SENIOR ARTISAN MECHANIC (2 X BREDASDORP)

Requirements: Trade Test Certificate in Diesel Mechanic; 3-5 years’ post apprenticeship experience required. Additional experience in auto-electric, hydraulics, air brake systems and maintenance of earth moving machines will be an advantage. Valid EC driver’s licence with PDP.

Responsibilities/ Duties: Perform high level more complex activities within the trade. Works independently and could supervise staff. Applicants must be literate in at least two of the three languages of the Western Cape.

The competency level for this position is a level 3 as stipulated in Annexure A of the Municipal Staff Regulations Government Notice No. 890 as promulgated in Government Gazette 45181 dated 20 September 2021 and comprises of the following competencies

Salary: T-11 = R 334 224 – R 433 836 per annum plus the normal fringe benefits of a Local Authority.
