ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As Principal Risk & Improvement, you will be responsible for the  ongoing implementation and embedment of the risk management framework, supply operating system and improvement processes within the mandate of Supply inclusive of contractor management. This role provides assurance to stakeholders through governance practices to identify gaps, risks and improvement opportunities within Supply.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

•Implement and embed the foundations of Risk Management Framework within Supply. This includes the adoption of standards, procedures, governance, program effectiveness and reporting of the Supply Function to relevant internal and external stakeholders;

•Develop, implement, execute, and manage Supply’s Risk Management Plan;

•Establish and communicate risk management processes, including risk review methodologies, standards, procedures, guidelines and practices;

•Report on risk management program effectiveness in established routines (e.g. Supply Performance Reporting, RAC and Safety Meeting, Group Risk Reporting, Annual Supply Baseline Risk Register, etc.);

•Oversee the improvement pipeline, ensuring effective prioritization and smooth execution of initiatives that deliver maximum value and impact;

•Lead or collaborate on key improvement projects, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and successful delivery within set timelines, budgets, and scope;

•Drive cross-functional integration by ensuring alignment and collaboration across teams to support the successful implementation of improvement initiatives and risk management processes;

•Provide coaching and mentorship to teams and individuals to foster an improvement culture;

•Drive the embedment and adoption of the Supply Operating System across teams;

•Support Supply accountabilities in Acquisition and Divestment Projects.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

•5+ years demonstrated experience in commercial, risk management or governance related roles in large, complex business;

•Prior experience in lead change management and / or continuous improvement processes;

•Demonstrated risk management experience, including implementation of risk management framework in mining, heavy industry or oil and gas;

•Knowledge of professional standards (ISO31000, RIMS, etc.);

•Demonstrated experience working across multi-functional projects/initiatives;

•Able to demonstrate an aptitude for developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships at all levels.

Qualifications for this role are:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Engineering, or related disciplines;

•Tertiary qualification in risk management would be advantageous.

•Conduct Root Cause Analysis sessions to identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

•Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience, of which at least 2 years in a managerial position;

•Working knowledge of process improvement and methodology;

•Experience in provision of strategic direction for function;

•Display excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong business relationships with all key stakeholders;

•Working knowledge and at least 3 years experience in recognised Risk Management methodology.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ technical experience on Underground Mining Equipment (CAT R1600/R1700 Loaders, CAT AD30 Trucks, Fermel Marveriks, Atlas Copco 282 Rocket Boomer, Atlas Copco 282s, Atlas Copco 235H Boltecs, Epiroc Boomer S2);

• Experience in performing major re-wiring and harness repairs on these types of machines will be advantageous;

• SAP & CAT ET, SIS software knowledge will be advantageous.

• N2 Technical Certificate;

• Valid drivers license;

•As a Supervisor Instrumentation, you will be responsible to lead a team of instrument artisans and be responsible for the execution of Work Management and supervise work execution, inspections, and observations in a safe and sustainable manner. This position will report to the Technical Support Superintendent Process Control & Automation within the maintenance department.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• A minimum of 4 – 6 years instrumentation or automation experience is essential of which at least 1 year must have been in a supervisory capacity;

• Experience in Allen Bradley PLC systems and programming, ABB Robotics and Wonderware SCADA systems development is critical to this position;

• Knowledge on CCTV systems would be advantageous;

• Be prepared to work shifts if needed and perform standby duties from time to time as required by the organization;

• Computer literacy (MS Office).

Qualifications for this role are:

• National Diploma in a Technical field of study OR a  T3/S4 in an Engineering field of study;

• Valid Trade Test.

The South Africa Manganese operation can be found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country’s Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world’s manganese. This position is based at our open-cut Mamatwan mine which started operating more than half a century ago.

As a Trainer Process you will be responsible to adhere to the Competency Declaration framework through planning and facilitating training, assessments and certification to meet organisational objectives.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

•Plan and facilitate classroom training.

•Conduct on-the-job training and coaching of Process operators and supervisors

•Conduct Mineral Process assessments and declare competency.

•Conduct moderation of assessments where required.

•Schedule PTOs for plant supervisors according to training requirements.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

•Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in training;

Qualifications for this role are:

•Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent;

•ODETDP Level 4;

•MQA Registered Assessor

•Mineral processing Certificate (NQF 3) Or Metallurgy/chemical Engineering qualification

•Moderator Certificate (Advantageous)

As an Artisan Substation, you will be responsible for  for the execution of maintenance activities during plant shut or special interventions. The main task is to carry out maintenance of equipment activities safely as well as testing and commissioning of work carried prior to handover to operations.

• Diagnose plant equipment issues timeously and sustainably;

• Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions associated with the work orders;

• Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability;

• Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment as per the SAP process;

• Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process;

• Ensure returns of unused or repairable materials are processed accurately.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance as a qualified Electrician;

• 3 Years and more experience with High Voltage Systems and Substations is essential;

• Switchgear and transformer maintenance is essential;

• Cable joints and Terminations experience is essential;

• Knowledge of UPS and battery chargers is advantageous;

• Medium voltage certificate is advantageous;

• Experience in heavy industrial plant environment will be advantageous;

Qualifications for this role are:

• N3 Technical Certificate and a recognised Electrical trade test;

As a Supervisor Production Execution Anode Baking Furnace, you will be responsible to be part of the management team accountable to manage and lead a Carbon Anode baking  production team. You will supervise a diverse production team, actively manage planned and unplanned tasks to be completed during shift by initiating action, analysing and interpreting production results, as well as identify and assess deviations to improve maximum plant availability and operational stability.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• You will promote team effectiveness and motivate subordinates to achieve operational team objectives;

• People are our foundation and, as such, you will be required to manage the staffing and development of personnel and contractor management to be optimally productive ensuring a positive ER climate;

• In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring best practice in health, safety, environment, quality and housekeeping standards in your section by facilitating adherence and compliance with all regulations and procedures.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• A minimum of 4- 6 years’ experience in Production / Industrial area of which 1 year in a supervisory capacity;

• Be prepared to work shifts if needed and perform standby duties from time to time as required by the organization;

• Experience in Carbon Anode Baking Furnace is advantageous;

• Refractory Experience advantageous;

• Computer literacy (MS Office / SAP / MES) is and added advantage.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Degree / National Diploma in a Technical field of study;

• Valid Trade Test would be advantageous.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.  As a specialist mine planning, you will be responsible for producing an optimized and actionable Mine plan for the operation that ensures resources, equipment and infrastructure are exploited to their maximum potential. This is achieved by methodically evaluating a range of alternative mine designs and schedules.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

•Produce physical schedules using relevant software for the areas to be mined on the 2 Year Plan and set up meetings to discuss those areas and implications with operational teams;

•Develop medium to short term production plans, designs, models, schedules and forecasts in conjunctions with internal customers;

•Generate production targets, drill and blast plans and monthly production forecast

•Perform quarterly forecast to accommodate any major changes to the plan;

•Monitor performance against plans and execution of Short Term Mine Plans;

•Reconciliation of production volumes on a weekly, monthly and quarterly frequency and uploads into 1SAP.

•In liaison with the Senior Surveyor, perform monthly critical checklist on the plan to ensure that it adheres to all basic mine design principles and revise accordingly if there is non-compliance;

•Develop, implement, modify and maintain models to facilitate ore planning and forecast ore grades product volumes on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis;

•Ensure that plans are efficiently designed to optimize economic value;

•Lead daily, weekly and monthly planning meetings to review performance, identify gaps and ensure action plans are developed to support planned outcome.

•Perform any other duties as may be requested by our superior from time to time

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

•Must have a minimum of 3 -5 years relevant experience in mining environment of which 2 years should be in Mine Planning environment.

•Knowledge in Deswik, CAD, MicroStation or any other planning software experience

Qualifications for this role are:

•Degree/BTECH/National Diploma in Mining Engineering;

•Valid Code 08/EB driver’s license
