Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Fleet Specialist, the appointee will:

  • Responsible for a fleet of approximately 160 vehicles (LDV, Big Trucks, Bus, Pick-up trucks and cars).
  • Keep track of vehicles out for service, arrange for vehicles to be repaired and the ordinary maintenance of vehicles.
  • Draw fleet reports consisting of different permutations of data from an active tracking software system and handover to the requester.
  • Receive, scrutinise and monitor the Fuel Management report (fuel and oil usage), identify out of line situations and forward the information to relevant manager to investigate and handle (daily activity).
  • Plan and monitor the work of the drivers
  • Monitor attendance and approve absence (leave etc)
  • Organise and ensure efficient delivery and collection service

Minimum Experience:

Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Technician: Dam Management, the appointee will:

  • Coordinate water control operations
  • Oversee the dams and canal systems to ensure appropriate maintenance
  • Provide input in the development of operating procedures
  • Investigate dropping water levels in dams and prepare and submit weekly reports on findings
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department to coordinate the planned maintenance for the dams
  • Guide maintenance team on the dam maintenance requirements
  • Perform minor maintenance repairs and work, e.g. small pipe leaks, minor painting, etc.
  • Supervise the cleaning of the dams e.g. galleries, outlet chambers

  • Government Certificate of Competencies (GCC – Factories) as per Commission of Examiners in terms of regulations E5 (2) of the regulation published under Government Notice R.929 of 28 June 1963

Key Outputs:

Internal Audit Specialist

Internal Audit Specialist
12 months fixed term contract

Summary:
The core purpose of the job is to execute and supervise audit reviews and ensure independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve Amatola Watters’s operations by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of enterprise risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance processes at the Amatola Water.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B degree qualification in Internal Auditing or equivalent
  • CIA will be an added advantage
  • Registration with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)


Minimum Experience:

  • 5 years’ internal audit experience of which 2 years should be at a supervisory level.
  • Knowledge and experience of the PFMA and Treasury Regulations
  • Solid experience in planning engagements, managing audit projects, supervising personnel and developing audit work programme
  • Knowledge of external leading risk and controls frameworks such as COSO and ISO 31000
  • Proven proficiency in understanding and application of Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS)

Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Manager Internal Audit, the appointee will:

Internal Audit Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan.
  • Conduct and oversee full internal audit engagements from planning through to reporting, including integrated and service provider audits.
  • Review and ensure quality of audit working papers, reports, and audit files.
  • Assign and monitor audit work of other Internal Auditors during audit projects.
  • Execute all audit assignments in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS).

Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the appointee will:

  • Develop and maintain Contract Management systems, procedures and standards to support the Entity in implementing contracts
  • Develop and maintain a contract register, reporting templates and a tool to measure performance of various contracts within the Entity
  • Compile and vet contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) for various contracts that are entered into by the Entity with various parties and stakeholders to ensure alignment with Entity’s policies, procedures, and standards
  • Administer and maintain contracts and SLAs
  • Support project managers and various units that are implementing contracts and SLAs
  • Execute applications associated with the management of the Contract Management System for all contracts entered into by the Entity

  • Participate in meetings and providing information on specific processes, including Supply Chain processes and procedures related to contracts that are entered into
