Cleaner

Job Description

The Statutory Operations Department has a vacancy for a part-time, fixed term Cleaner position to maintain the housekeeping of the Paarl regional office so as to ensure a conducive, safe and hygienic working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the hygiene of the office and equipment where necessary
  • Prepare and serving refreshments
  • Carry out ad hoc duties given by the Regional Operations Manager
  • To ensure health and safety is adhered to and maintained

Requirements

  • Minimum of Grade 10 certificate or equivalent
  • Cleaning experience in an office environment would be advantageous
  • Good planning and organizing skills
  • Ability to read and write
  • Good verbal communication within a team environment
  • Knowledge of hygiene practices
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and handling thereof

Main purpose of the job

The Chief Financial Officer is ultimately responsible and accountable for overseeing the entire Finance function at the PPECB. To be responsible for all financial aspects of the PPECB operations, including oversight in the preparation of financial statements and reporting, budget and forecasting; implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets; providing relevant and timely financial information to the balance of the CEO, Executives and Senior Management and the Board; oversight in the selection and implementation of financial and non-financial business systems; and providing awareness to the financial and non-financial members of the financial implications of their business decisions.

High level job objectives

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           The CFO is accountable for the strategic financial and risk management of the PPECB, including: the development of a financial programme, metrics linked to the strategy, ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve PPECB’s assets, and reporting of accurate financial results. The CFO is accountable for the successful execution of his/her own functions as well as those functions of his/her direct reports.    

Financial Planning, Modelling and Analysis:

Developing and implementing financial plans, modelling/ forecasting, and analyzing financial performance to support the company’s strategic goals. 

Budgeting and Reporting:

Initiating, designing, and coordinating the budgeting process, preparing and presenting budget reports to stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulations. 

Risk Management:

Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, including compliance with laws and regulations. 

Capital Management:

Developing and implementing capital raising strategies, managing cash flow, and optimizing investment decisions. 

Strategic Planning:

Collaborating with the CEO and other executives to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organisation’s long-term goals. 

Team Management:

Overseeing and managing the finance team, including hiring, training, and development. 

Compliance:

Ensuring the company’s compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Interfacing with auditors and regulatory bodies.

A sound understanding of the workings of national government, public entities, the perishable products industry and the export logistic chain.
